As of August 9th

1001 total new SS units on Cars.com
165 total new Manual Transmission SS units on Cars.com

Of personal interest: 45 total new RPG SS units on Cars.com
As of August 16th

1009 total new SS units on Cars.com
164 total new Manual Transmission SS units on Cars.com

I'm starting to think these will be on lots a loooong time

So, for those of you that have been around for a while, I have a question.

There are 45+/- RPG units still available. This number suggests a significant increase in RPG production despite its removal from the website mid-year. Roughly 2/3 thirds of total production for MY17 has been sold. Extrapolating, the numbers suggest total MY17 RPG production of 135+/-. Total MY15 (78) and MY16 (56) RPG cars was 134.

Now for my question(s): Did production really increase this much for MY17 RPG; likely as a result of it being the only green in MY17? Or, do RPG's simply not sell at the same rate as the other colors?

Really just asking for your thoughts; I know we should have the official production numbers soon enough.

RPGM was no longer available to order starting February 27. Orders were stopped at the end of February, the 28th. It was really just a day of unavailability haha. And with the increase in the total produced in 2017 and 1 less color than 2016 and 2 less colors than 2015, it makes sense it would possibly have more than previous years.

Ha! I wasn't really in the SS market/community in February...I had no idea it was only 1 day of unavailability.

Yup haha. Missing from Chevy's website for awhile but still able to order it up until T-minus 1 day from the end lol.

I'm not sure. Some of the forum veterans have mentioned August (almost gone) or September as likely for when this will be available. I read somewhere that Customer Care will actually post it in the forum.

I'm sure it will be updated here: http://www.ssforums.com/forum/chevy...iscussion-forum/110073-all-chevy-ss-production-sales-information-breakdown.html as soon as it's available as well (love that spreadsheet).
It is being worked on. It will be a while; it is a time consuming tedious process going VIN by VIN.

It will not be posted by the starter or in the thread you cite. That is not a CCC or CCC person's thread. It is a member doing the cyphering 'his own way' after the fact.

It will be posted by CCC in due time in a new thread started by them.

"Remove ants from pants" ... again.

Angela O. and Brandon M. are still the CCC staffers assigned to our forum. A couple of weeks ago they assured me that they will post the 2017 production statistics to the forum as soon as their internal source makes the stats available to them.

Hey there, give credit where credit's due. The google sheet the OP created here is genius, and a very helpful resource for us and to this forum.

227 sold in August. LOL at the year over year change (14 to 227) but that's all due to the stop sale.

There are probably around 1,325 left to be sold, or somewhere in that ballpark. Historically August is the last better month for sales before you start to see a dip into September and on. If there are no (clearance) sales offered like the 10% or 20% previously seen, GM will probably sell 150-175/mo on average over the next 3 months. Probably around 100/mo into the winter months.

At this pace there could still be about 500 left by spring, again assuming no big clearance sale. On the other hand if a 10% or let alone 20% is offered and we get anywhere near 500 sold like there was before, these could sell out much much quicker.

It probably means for those on the fence, you have some time to hold off and "wait and see" into next year. This assumes you would want an auto. Just get ready to pounce if a sale comes around.

I finally got to looking at that spreadsheet the other day, and I must say that I'm VERY impressed with the amount of effort and thoughtfulness put into making it.

I can't wait to see the "final" numbers, even though I'm one of the jerks that drove up the production numbers during the final year :D

Thank you, smann!

I have a question about production numbers and couldn't think of a good place to ask, so I'll post it here (sorry if it was asked elsewhere)

According to GM, there were 12,953 Total SS's produced, with 4008 produced in MY 2017.
2014 Production numbers (posted in this forum by Chevrolet) were 3,527.
2015 Production numbers were 3,168.
2016 Production numbers were 2,221.

If you add the MY productions number together; 3,527(MY 2014) + 3,168(MY 2015) + 2,221(MY 2017) + 4,008(MY 2017) you get 12,924 NOT 12,953

What am I missing here? Is the 29 number difference internal GM orders for MY 2017 that isn't included in the 4008 vehicles produced?

Am I the only one who thinks that every time I check the board, I'm going to see 2017 Production Numbers and then message everyone I know with a 2017?

Or do I have too much time on my hands?

Don't answer that.

The internal orders are all included in the breakdown for each year. So 3168 total including internal for 2015 is correct, it is 3144 without the internal. I asked CCC that awhile back when I first made the sheet because some things didn't quite add up.

The results are...
2014: 3527 total (3502 customer and 25 internal)
2015: 3168 total (3144 customer and 24 internal)
2016: 2221 total (2202 customer and 19 internal)
2017: 4037 total (4008 customer and 29 internal) (assumption as of now)
Total: 12953 including internal

Again, 2017 is an assumption as of now until the official breakdown is released.

I believe the difference will be the internal vehicles for 2017, but we won't know for sure until the numbers are released. The most recent info is that CCC has all the raw data and may be going through it right now to get the final breakdown, which takes quite some time.

Lol, I get email notifications every time someone posts on here. Every time I open the notification these days I'm expecting to see one saying, "Yo smann! The 2017 production info has been posted! Get off your lazy butt and put it in the spreadsheet already!" Hahaha

That was what I was thinking, just wanted to see what others thought.

September figures are out, 171 sold in the month. As expected.
