I just installed the tips, they do look great! Thanks to those of you feeding back your experience, I ended up angling them up to fill the space above. We left the bottom open to allow condensation a path out, but you obviously can't tell. And turns out my factory tips were crooked, so this ended up fixing that as well!

Welcome to the forum @Rayg212 . Guessing you put them on a '14 or '15. Should have been a cut off weld on proposition, perhaps the shop welded them on at an angle? Post up some pics, our fellow owners will be able to get some ideas and perhaps assist in a solution.

Correct, 2015.

I brought the car to multiple muffler shops, both say that they are as high as they will go due to the muffle position.

Another old thread still alive

When mine were originally put on, the fabricator that did the work tacked them, put the car on the ground, unloaded the suspension, then took measurements on each plus a level and a eye test from maybe 25 feet back. He did this twice till he was happy, and was I, on the positioning. It is easy to angle the tips up, down, right, left as they are being welded on. I would suggest you try a different welder or a fabricator.

Hey guys,

still haven’t got around to going back to the muffler shop, I am kicking around the idea of just getting axle back exhaust to fix this issue but also running into so many comments about how good the oem mufflers are on 14-15 models with LT headers.. wish I could have the suckers pulled up and just get the headers! 😫

I seen the link posted with the shop welding an addition piece of piping upward, imo doing that will make them stick out entirely too much.

wondering if I can have someone re weld them and try aiming upward or maybe cutting the hangars holding the mufflers and bring them higher 🤷🏻‍♂️

My engine is stock, no headers, no cam, nada so going axle back Borla type-S made sense. For your situation have the shop cut the tips off, add a slightly larger "adapter ring" around the muffler end using section of maybe 3" pipe, then attach the tip to that. Should not change the depth/length if done right and would allow more wiggle room to get the tips looking right.
