I've heard Brian's car in person, the engine sound is quite impressive. Feels like it's going to eat you alive.

a proper heads/cam LS3 through a 6L80e will dyno ~500whp +/- 20whp (depending on tune)

I have just finished my mods with Heads,Cam tune. Roto-Fab, and full Kooks headers and exhaust. I am nowhere near 500RWHP with my setup. I have 1800 miles on the car as of now and my numbers came out at 460.8 RWHP and 430.0 TQ. Uncorrected numbers were about 10RWHP higher. I will have a post up later today showing the whole process. Car is extremely driveable and the cam is not overly aggressive.I will have dyno sheets with the post

Thanks Andy. It's nice to hear that my numbers are normal. I also bet you'd agree that more would be available with an aggressive cam,but if you look at my cam spec posts you'll see we are speced with a S/C setup in our future,plus we are very drive able with a small(2800) converter

 

I have H/C/I/E plus forged 14:1 pistons to get 487 on 93 and 505 on e100.

 

I've done various Cammed A6 LS3 cars that have dynoed from 450-510+ All depeends on Cam and Heads and Compression.

But dyno numbers are just that "numbers" Best thing is to see the before and after on the same dyno.

 

Not sure what mine puts down. It's trapped 124.5 mph weighing in right at 4000lbs.

 

@tryg I think it’s worthwhile at some point to consider how much faster / quicker a blown LS3 is over what you have now, down the 1/4, on street tyres. Both high 11s, all spin depends on baro and stuff for .2 delta right?
Then weigh that marginal difference when possibly, legally, applied to everyday driving on the street.
Go the 2300 conversion spend if you’re drag racing for no brainer mass energy burner. If you drive over a wide range of conditions everyday consider not turning your SS into a dragster at all.
Do you know the fastest time for NA SS with drag pack, stock stall and gears?

Mine is about to go under the knife boys BTR stage 3...wish me luck. I knew when I was 8 years old that one day I’d have a car that produced that exhaust chop (lope). When I was a kid they were called BoonDaddy cars! You gotta love a small block chevy.
