After seeing these pics the ve front is very similar. I am running a zl1 in conjunction with a frozen boost front. It is similar dimensions to the gt500 but is much more appealing. With the zl1 the washer res has to be relocated.

I honestly can't remember if the bends and all are in the correct location for the stock heat exchanger. I have the weapon x track attack on mine. I'm sure you know how hot it's been down here, my intake temps are still hurting. In the "cooler" weather we had, I was starting a pull at about 10° over ambient. Now in this summer heat, it's stays about 20° over ambient, and that's with the track attack and reservoir.Eventually I'm going to upgrade pumps and maybe get a larger trunk tank to help. But the track attack drops the temps back down within seconds.
Did you have to relocate anything with Weapon X? Will it accept -12 AN?

Yes the plastic is cut...that's up to you. I did want to keep the washer fluid reservoir in the stock location and the GT500 is almost completely in tact. I modified the original bracket to allow it to be bolted to the bumper, but that's all. Pump and bracket are stock and the HX is using all the original bolts.

New to group guys. Just wondering why i cant use the zl1 camaro heat exchanger and also how is the pump run constant 12v im doing an lsa swap juat getting all my ducks in a row thanks.


You can use it, but you'll hafta relocate the trans cooler - I think the washer reservoir has to go someplace else too.
