Just ordered them. And then realized that they had them with black powder coating. Called them up and they swapped them out. I have to pay the $5 each difference but it was super easy.

I'll post pic of the black ones when I get them.

That black powder coated tip will really complete the look on yours!!

Could not resist, just ordered a pair. Was planning to go SSW Cat-back but the spousal unit balked at the cost. In the end (no pun intended), I really was just after the dual tips, as I have absolutely no issue with the factory exhaust, other than I think it looks very dorky with 1 round tip sticking out of that wide opening. This solves all of my issues, and will be ecstatic to have them installed. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, the black ones will look killer on a blacked out car, can't wit to see the picture.

For those that may not have caught it, I taped off the polished tip then painted the rest with flat black header paint BEFORE having them installed. After the mig welds were done I just had a slight amount of touch up to do.

Sure you keep telling her that and just wait until you see the horsepower gains you get from adding chrome muffler bearings and see what happens. :panic:

chrome muffler bearings... really, dang nabit wish I'd known, just had the muffler fluid topped off

Those tips look really nice! Might also be looking into a set.

I was looking on their website; either I'm stupid or the black powdercoated version of those same measurements is not listed (2.25 ID, 3 OD, 6.25 length). I suppose it doesn't matter what's on the site if you can just call and have it done, but I was just wondering if you had the link to this particular set of tips in black. If not, that's cool too.

I didn't see it either. I ordered the polished ones and then saw that they powder coated. So I called up just to see if they could powder coat the ones I ordered before they shipped them. He said that they actually stock them and would just swap them out. But no. I couldn't find those exact ones with powder coating on the site either.

So I guess you would have to call and order them. Very friendly and helpful.

I HATE THIS FORUM!!!!!

This site is costing me soooo much money because I am weak and cannot say, "NO! I have spent enough on this car."

Thank you SS Forum, I just ordered mine.
If you think it is bad here, be glad you don't live near me.

BTW, Picture from this weekend!

Are you high?
My mom has an XF Supercharged and that thing SCREAMS for a huge sedan.(470hp) Never driven an R version(550? those things have 550?)...but that is one NASTY luxury sedan! I don't think we would have a chance against an R in our stock form.
I know for a fact we don't because I got spanked by an R version when I was stock. Beautiful, fast and super expensive sedan :).

I'm curious as to how many people are using a custom "goose neck" fitting like Charles mentioned in the 1st page. Also it seems like others are cutting them exactly at the factory weld and just installing them from there? Just trying to understand since I will be doing this soon.

Mine were cut at the factory weld and the new tips mig welded in place. This put the length and location right where the stock single tip was. The fitting and alignment took ~30 minutes, the welding took maybe 5 minutes.

Thanks! That's what I needed to know.
