P2097 code on 16' SS

Hey everyone! I'm new, so I apologize that I'm not posting this in the technical discussions section but I don't have enough posts to start a thread there and I figured this was better than spamming a bunch of threads to get my posts!

Bought my '16 SS PBM 6MT a few weeks ago and threw the P2097 code yesterday. I cleared it out and have driven 35 miles since without it coming back on but want to know if this is something I should live with resetting every once in a while or if I need to do something about it? The car has kooks long tube headers, high flow cats, k&n CAI and a tune from Finish Line performance (all done by the previous owner, who was also a member on the forum). I'm guessing if/when it comes up again I at least need to go through and check all the connections for a leak. Car only has 12k miles on it but I would assume the dealer isn't going to cover anything related to this if it needs a new sensor, right?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Among others I used to get the P2097 code on my LS3 Camaro that had similar mods but a big cam as well. The problem was it often was one cylinder bank and not the other. This led to timing and other new signals being pushed to the ECM and subsequent running/missing issues. Needless to say I did have it addressed and was fortunate the tuner for that car was close by. The fun part about these largely bullet proof LS3's is the learning experience. Get it looked at, fix the problem, learn how to self manage the beast! In my case it was an anomaly that didn't have a true cause other than the tuner going through and retightening every single connection and verifying proper signal strength was coming from the various data collection points. My guess is the O2 sensor was not happy (in my case that is...).

Thanks! I'll wait and see if it pushes out any other codes or this one again, I guess, then call the place that tuned it. Seems like that'd be the best place to start. Based on the reviews I'd like to take it over to Livernois (same distance, opposite direction) but probably best to take it to who did it in the first place.

I had Livernois tune on my GTO and on my 2014 SS before I had it supercharged. Livernois is easy to work with when you purchase the tuner from them; in my case I purchased a used tuner from another SS forum member and the experience was not as good. Essentially my ECM was bricked by their handheld tuner because it was older (needed updating) and I did not purchase from them. I've had good success with Livernois in the past but not so much the last time. I would recommend taking it to them as anything to do with updating your tuner, because you are not the original purchaser, might be an opportunity for trouble.

That's not good. Be prepared to spend some $$$$$
