SS Diff was fixed early this week, made drag pipes to eliminate stock mufflers and I raised the back end 1” WooHoo! Then back to more Chiller testing, these refrigerant distribution devices are awesome they change everything including Freon charge. We went around to local CNC shops and fabricators to get more original parts made, I have been here 45ys and have never seen any of these places but the 16SS did it in no time. Holidays make track time difficult but 3 big events coming up in17 including Half Mile and may have another demo car lined up not a Chevy or Pontiac.

Camaro SS competition kit, this is the smallest Interchiller we offer and updated from our original 2011 kit. Vertical mounted and our new Freon Distribution Device it has new found performance, plenty of cooling for 600 HP Maggie. This is the first 13” 30 plate sold since 2013, these are complete kits 100% bolt on.

I just found out Charles had SS worked on and it wont be ready for Sunday. Also forecast is thunder storms and tornado warnings. So I don't know at this point if I want to drive 4hrs. I may go Saturday?

No thermal insulators or CAI so under hood intake and 4.5GPM pump.
Charles
Ran the 1/2 mile today with the Active Interchiller installed on my LSA SS today. IAT at launch was 59 (ambient was 84), at the end of the 1/2 mile (145mph), my IAT was only 90 degrees! And it was back to 59 by the time I got back to the staging lanes. I was able to do (4) 1/2 mile runs in just over an hour, never stopping. Car ran awesome!

Notice time stamps above that’s 9 min from the time Charles lifted and captured pics 90deg high back to 59deg. 59deg may not sound impressive but remember this is the same car with crazy hot under hood temps and intake is under hood.

We had a sensor in air filter and one in line on intercooler this is just waiting in line at a drive through.

Our original design and our new Freon Distribution device make this possible.

SS did 11.0 at Bradenton this is with no reservoir or H/E at all just the LSA hoses, Xtreme Chiller and 4.3gal flow. Staged at 55# and toped the ¼ at 112# then right back to 55#, HPT log available for download. Car now has 2.3gl reservoir to get ready for half mile, still no CAI.
That’s a typo the run was 128.4

Edgard Niebles and I met Rick Crawford and I have to say he is very nice guy, he took time out to talk to us and answer a lot of questions on a very busy track day. Rick definitely has the combination, very low 9s with stock bottom end! No Spray ever!

It was a great track day, I never expected to see so many Vs wheels up. We went to Longhorns on the way home for an Awesome Steak and drinks on the way home. I was disappointed the LSA G8s and SSs stayed home. :icon_scratch:

Someone cheated the light lol on that run. What was your reaction sub 4? Nice run, bet if you got that 60ft down would be in the 10s

Wonder what that rear end looks like with wheels up on slicks lol. Probably has more in that rear setup than my entire blower assembly costs. Looks like a camaro 3.45 swap, says stock axles and ds, but apparently he is stripped down quite a bit to drop weight. Which is the easiest way to go fast btw.

Pic of his rear end during testing, see boys and girls this is what those not hard on the driveline slicks that syp always said happens when they hook.

We are sponsoring G8 Extravaganza this year with 2 Gift Certificates.
Edgard Niebles and I plan on attending with 1 or more cars and hope to have a SS compete. Early plans are full demonstrations of Interchiller and documented track results. Looks like at least one LSA G8 fitted with our Xtreme Chiller will be competing

Charles posted this on another forum; I did edit 3 posts down to just key points.

Kits that don't work as expected are 99% of the time due to installer error. Do NOT think you are smarter than the Interchiller Manufacturer during install and that by increasing something, or eliminating something that you can make the kit work better. You will fail, and you will say it doesn't work. Also, make sure you set your expectations properly. Yes, you can get freezing cold...but not 100% of the time. There are other variables, and everybody's experiences will differ. What you will get is sub ambient temperatures, and a drastically decreased IAT Range.

I run no front Heat Exchanger on my SS, and I'm surprised nobody asked why. The HE I originally had installed on my car was not working. ZL1 pump with a large frozen boost H/E. I was fighting high IAT's (170+ in the 1/4 mile, 25-30 over ambient in daily driving). I was like everybody else... I need the biggest front mount and a trunk tank. As I was learning about Interchillers, and doing my own backyard R&D, I found that the things that 'help' you in the typical configuration actually 'hurt' with an interchiller.

You see...all that large surface area that helps get you to Ambient in a "Non-Interchiller" configuration... well, with an interchiller, it does the exact opposite, and it uses all that surface area to raise your chilled water back to ambient. A front mount (ONLY) Air/Water can never see less than ambient, as you are using ambient to cool it. Add some sort of cooling effect (Ice tank and bags of ICE, or Interchiller), and your helping heat it back up even faster.

Yes, the Interchiller kit has a bypass valve so you can have the best of both worlds, but I didn't feel I needed it. I have no issues running my A/C 24/7. I can still set my cabin temp to 82 degrees if it's freezing out side and it has no affect on the Interchiller, because the interchiller is its own cooling circuit. The AC compressor just needs to be on for it to work.

Levi with a built ZL1 turning 18psi has run our Chiller since 2015, he called me Friday about another matter with an Email to follow and here is just one paragraph.

"I have nearly 500 1/4 mile passes with the Xtreme chiller. I keep records of the outside air conditions and notes about performance for every run in my log book. The car is consistent enough to win in Pro and King Street and I have lots of data for every single run the car has ever done."
