Finally introducing myself on here. My name is Marcus I’m located in SoCal and I am the proud owner of a 2017 Chevy SS in Orange Blast Metallic. I also own a 95 Chevy Impala SS in DGGM.

Welcome! That’s my favorite color on the Impala👍

Ahh DGGM, my dad had a new one back in 95 and my mom had a new one in 96. Nice touch with the smooth bumpers.

My dad sold his in 2005 after 10 years, and the car had 22,000 miles (garaged show car). Anyways the brother of the guy who bought it took it out one night and totaled it shortly after my dad sold it. That was the first car I ever did a burnout in.

Love it! I had a 84 Caprice, 94 Caprice, 04 Grand Prix, and 14 Caprice. I seem to be on this weird 10 year cycle thing. The 94 was a hoot. I loved everything about that car except the optispark. That was a pain in wet/humid weather. Some good looking cars you got there!

My dad had a 1995 Impala SS for most of my childhood and adolescent years that I absolutely loved. I think he got it when I was in 3rd grade, and he finally sold it when I was a junior in college. He kept for 11 years and put almost 180k miles on it. It was the car I learned to drive in. It rode like a cloud but it had decent handling as well! I'd love to have one again just for nostalgia's sake.

My father had one as well; a '96 I believe. He had ordered it at the dealership and was waiting patiently for it to be built when he saw one just like his future car drive by his house one day while out working in the yard. He flagged it down and started chatting up the owner. It turns out the guy was a manager on the paint line at the GM assembly plant in Arlington, TX where those cars were built. That plant is less than 20 miles from where Dad lived at the time. The guy gave him his name and number. He told Dad to ask the salesman at the dealership for the "build number" (or something like that). Then to call him with that number, and the guy would know the exact date that the car would be going down the assembly line. He invited Dad to come to the plant and watch his car go down the line being built. Sadly when the production day came, Dad was in Alaska fishing and missed his chance. We both enjoyed that car immensely, and I was sad to see him sell it years later.

My dad had the original wheels but chromed, they looked great on the DGGM. He also has the same stainless side scripts as you. Ill have to pull up some pictures I have on an old drive to post.

I think I still have a couple random brand new parts for the car like the Impala SS script that was on the radio.

Our fascination with SS began with a used '66 Chevelle SS and progressed to a series of new SS's beginning with '87 Monte Carlo SS, '96 Impala SS, '07 Impala SS and now '14 SS.
This may be considered blasphemy but, given a choice to have just one to be stablemate with the '14 I would probably choose the '07.

Well, kind of a 'Chevy guy' thing you know..:)
Sadly, after the current SS and Silverado I'm probably doomed to graze in other pastures unless they both outlast me.
