Hello everyone!
I'm new to this forum and I really need some expert advise.
I have a 2014 Chevy SS and I looked all over the Internet for a LOUD and high flowing exhaust. I found video clips and MRT sounds perfect for me! But.. I have read on here that there has been alot of exhaust fitment issus with MRT. Does anyone have any info on this? Before I she'll out $1000 I want to make sure the shop that will install it will not have to cut or do any kind of welding.
Also if anyone knows of some very loud performance exhausts please lete know..
Thank you everyone!!!!!

Going with headers or stock manifolds?
I like Solo pipes myself.
Stainless works is another good choice.

I can't afford headers unfortunately. I only have cat back dollars lol. Just trying to get the loudest bang for the buck! I really appreciate all your help!!!
If you want sound, with best bang for your buck, then you you might look into Solo. You can do Cat-back, or just axle back. Their axle backs are selling for $358 (shipped) through Maryland Speed. If you check out the Solo thread in the Group Buy forum, you will find some videos a few of us posted.

Alternately, Google Chevy Chat. I went there with a build number and met someone in the chat room that used a lot of exclamation points and told me that I could come and check on the status of my order 10 times a day if I wanted. Apparently, far-and-away the most common dorks that bother them about their build times are Corvette people, but Katy seemed just fine with me pestering her about my SS. Said she fell in love with the SS when it was released.

It's pretty cool, and better than pestering my misanthropic salesman all the time (but I'm going to still mess with him a little bit because it will be fun).

Send a PM to Chevrolet Customer Care here on the forum. They will need your name, contact info, VIN #. They will reply back with the build sequence and its sequence in the ones fitted in the same manner as yours.

No mufflers, cats only. We see it all the time, straight pipes after the cats. It's legal but loud.

If you just want loud remember you can do cutouts on a stock system. To see what it would sound like, unhook the rear mufflers since the cutouts should go before the rear mufflers.

Make sure you choose their right option.....I believe their loudest is the Mach shorty unbalanced

I thought the OP said Loud and High Flowing?

With about that same amount of coin for a nice catback, go with headers and an x-pipe to stock exhaust. Gets you more flow, better sound and then you can either a) take off the mufflers when you want to scare the neighbors or go to the track or b) take off the mufflers and nicely have some pipes w/tips fabbed-up (no mufflers).

Only one video was posted with the catback and it was just a startup(like 5secs long)

My video and all the others are only axlebacks

1. Remove mufflers.

2. Weld in some straight pipes.

3. Problem solved.

Have liked the low rumbling sound of MRT exhaust at idle - sounds very classic American muscle car like - akin to my '70 442. But, no one now recommends MRT? I know they had many fitment issues early on. Kindly advise. Thanks guys!

Sorry, didn't see this until now.

I have the MRT on my car. I love the way it sounds.

MRT actually installed the system on my car, So I can't say that I had any issues with fitment. I originally was to install the system myself only to find an incomplete kit when I got home, so they made up for it by just installing the system for me when I returned the next day.

I ran "Strait pipes" for a few days beforehand and the sound with the Cat-Back is by far Louder, Deeper and just plain better sounding. The best part about the system in my opinion is ZERO drone at highway cruising speeds. 70mph on cruise the car is almost silent, @ WOT going thought the RPMS it is pretty **** loud and I have received a lot of compliments for it from others at the track and on the street so far.

Here is the start-up Sound clip in my garage.

I think I'll go take her for a ride to stretch her legs and make a video from the rear bumper today.

Good evening everyone!! I purchased the SOLO MACH SHORTY UNBALANCED EXHAUST!
It sounds amazing! The exhaust video clip don't do the sound justice. It sounds really loud and under acceleration it's really a screamer! Its got a powerful deep tobe at idol. I'm very very happy!!!

Here's a video!

Watch "2014 Chevy SS NEW SOLO CATBACK INSTALLED!" on YouTube

Sounds good man! Glad you are happy with your purchase!

1 question, how is the popping on deceleration with their catback? I know this has to do with DFCO in the tune but some exhausts kinda drown it out as I have heard. Say if you floor it in park and quickly let up, how is the popping as it idles down is what I'm trying to ask lol
