agree, they look awesome !

See the silver heat shields around the spare tire bin, I painted those flat black on mine. No longer stand out when looking under the car.

Yes. He was painting the welds with black caliper paint and I asked him to hit the heat shield too.

Just a quick question from a newbe. Do the Red Tail exhaust tips make any change in the sound of the exhaust or are they for looks only?
Thanks,

IMO, looks only but they make the stock exhaust look like it should have from Chevy.. errr Holden. They only provide a dual tip from the stock single muffler outlet.

I am giddy like a little school girl :)

We spent plenty of time lining things up so if it looks a little unbalanced that is just the camera angle.

As RJCALIF said, cutting at the weld seemed about right. The new tip actually slides over the old pipe so you've got quite a bit of adjustability.

Borla makes some great stuff. I used to sell it and had one of their systems on my 73 911 RSR but $902 for a pair of mufflers with tips, Alex Borla sure is very proud of his work. Your choice but for slightly more you can get full cat back from Magnaflow or Stainlessworks.

Just happened to be walking past a GMC Acadia SLT and noticed the exhaust tips. Stopped, got down on my knees for a closer inspection and what do you know!!!!!!! They are the tips we are putting on our SS's.

I had posted this in my Random SS Picture Thread but never here. These are custom dual 3.5" tips I had put on my car - dual 3" is too small IMO. I was going to do dual 4.0" tips but I'm glad I didn't, this is about as big as you can go without touching the diffuser. Totally transforms the car.

Correct stagger, you just have right/left swapped. The shorter side is outside, longer on inside.
