Got these on Monday from San Antonio dealership and a thanks to David for letting kick the tires. It has a green tint in what looks like gray, wish it was out in the sun. 2014 Chevy SS Slideshow by Airmech1 | Photobucket

Haha, that is my car! I went to Gunn after the autoshow on Saturday and did paperwork and picked it up on Wednesday. The car is a beast. Thanks for the pics of my car, now stay out of it! :duel:

I've had the windows blacked out by Custom Sounds and got the wheels on order from Discount (Matte Gunmetal color.)

Thanks for sharing these photos. I think I still need to see this car in person. This color is so different and unique, I still can't decide if I love it or hate it.

its funny i noticed that also about the leather. My g8 had the same issue with poor leather fit on the seats that was a $30k car so could not really complain. This is almost a $50k car i would definitely not buy this one. Supposedly they are doing quality assurance check before shipping them out. GM needs to step up with this car or they will be driving themselves.

BigV8, thanks for the nice pics. Ordered a Mystic Green car a couple months ago. Also agree that it's a cohesive color & looks upmarket, kinda elegant. Saw a couple Mystic Green cars in Benicia. The color can look different depending on lighting & you might catch a flash of green. Not knowing, you might think it was called something like Sterling Gray. Like the Aussie name of Prussian Steel.

Not sure what's going on with the driver's seat.

I was going with some matte bronze wheels up until this afternoon when i received a phone call about only having three of the four wheels and not being able to locate the fourth and no future production date given. So now were going with the same wheel but in a matte gunmetal color. They should be here in a week or so from the factory.

The passenger and the driver seat both have a small bulge in the seam area 2/3 of the way up (only about an inch long). Truly, it does not bother us in the least. The car is done really well (unlike the issue we had with carpet in our newer yukon, which is apparently a known issue that GM is not fixing.) We are hoping they will hurry up with a car cover and weather mats, but perhaps i can order some straight from Holden? I would definitely like to switch out the badging for Holden (sorry Bow-Tie lovers.)

Hey Frank, it does seem to be a rare color doesn't it?
I suppose the "one" you are referring to is at George Chevrolet in Bellflower? It shows up at Chevrolet.com but who knows if it is sitting there, on it's way, or already gone?

I just got an answer from MY local dealer yesterday who apparently has a Mystic Green one with spare and roof. Believe it or not, they want $5k over MSRP.... sheesh! I believe the first one they got (the ONLY other one they got) they asked for and got the $5k markup so....... :shithappens:
And a hearty welcome to the forum Z06vett!

Thanks for your welcome

Thanks for the warm welcome here. As you may surmise I have owned Corvette Z06's in the past. Purchased my first Corvette a 1963 Z06 in October of 1962. Had to wait until June 1963 to take delivery, they were only selling to known racers at the beginning of production. I raced the car, used it as a daily driver, restored the car in 1984, became a trailer King (this car was not a Queen), did every thing you could with the show circuit and finally sold it in 2006. It was not comfortable to drive it on the street which it needed every week.

I purchased a 2007 Z06, a quicker car then the 63 by not as much fun to drive. I sold the 2007 last March and find myself missing something my truck just can not provide. So to be practicable, I am going on 73 years, I found what I hope will be great car to enjoy like my the Z06's I have owned in the past. The SS promises to be that need for speed I have come to live by. I am hoping to find a Mystic Green one, the closest to me that I have found is about 800 miles away. Hoping to find one closer to Daytona Beach where I live.

Drive Safe everyone and enjoy
