Great time. Where did you run it, and what was the DA?

 

Fayetteville, NC the DA was between 600-800 throughout the day.

 

Great run without having mineshaft air. I need to run my car before I do anything to it so I have a baseline to go off of.

 

Great time, good for you...That's an amazing MPH...Do you have a tune? When did you run this, recently?

I'm running again Saturday in a 12.0 street car class, the high is 58 here so hopefully the Da will be really low or negative would be nice. But no tune all stock down to the paper filter and tires and full weight. It was just this passed Sunday. Temperature was in the 70s.

 

Again, great MPH..I ran your DA @ Dragtimes and it says it was just under 350...Good luck this week and be safe.

great run. I've been wanting to come over there because the word is that its a fast track. It's quite a ride for me though,probably 150miles. I might try to run on thanksgiving week.if they run on Saturday . I'll have to look up there schedule. Congrats on a really good stock time

 

What launch technique and what settings did you use to get your 12.8 ! Great time !

 

It would be cool to have a big track day at fayetteville for the guys who are fairly local. But im just foot braking it to 1200rpms then flooring it. Been working pretty good for me. Sport mode letting it shift it self and turning all assists off.

 

New pb this weekend. Pretty sure this has to be the record for stock.

 

What is the best stock 1/4 mile for a manual car?

 

I don't have any time-slips to prove it, but if I got called out to a knife fight to prove it......Our other members can back me up here, Am surely doubtful you can get a sub 13 ET with the MT car...For best results, leave it in drive and let the "auto" car sort-it-out for your best ET.

Based on the slips I'm seeing this thread it seems like mid 1.9's is about all you're gonna get for 60' time huh?

1.9 was the best I could manage in my manual. Just a Roto-Fab intake.

 

Thanks all. This 12.6 pass was probably at a -600~ DA. Car is bone stock to the paper filter and stock tires. Pretty consistent 60ft for me usually 1.93-1.95. Best ive been is a 1.91. .500 is perfect RT for our local track. Best I've been is a .501

 

I was there today. DriverMod's SS is the fastest pure stock that I have ever seen. His 1st run today was 12.74 and I didn't see later runs because I had to leave really early. That is one good running SS

DriverMod... Nice runs! I ran my 15 SS early this year when I got it.... Da was +1800 and car had 1k miles... I ran 13.0 every kinda way...I've been feeling like the car is a 12.70 now with more miles and better air. I'm waiting for a cool track night and see if I can match your .69 et... Thanks for givinging me a goal to shoot for!

It could be the extra 2hp from the bimodal exhaust.


If the LS3 is anything like other LS motors there seems to be a pretty large (20 hp or so) difference between one motor and the next. Some get lucky with factory freaks!

Track prep, DA, driver/car weight (spare, no spare?), then even things like fuel (91 vs 93 octane, E0 vs E10) matter as well.

Then there's the driver mod. Launch style changes things too. Power brake or not? which mode to go in?

So many stinkin variables.
