I was wondering if it might be a useful idea to have a sticky post in the How To section with a list of all the various fastener torque specs for these cars. Something continually updated by an admin with a running list from members of all the verified torque values and procedures (such as for torque-to-angle or torque-to yield). I find that as I'm trying to chase down front suspension noises it's not easy to find all the fastener torques, and has taken a combo of this forum, the Caprice forum and a Holden one to get some verified shop manual values.
Years ago we had this on LS1.com/LS2.com and it's handy to have a quick reference for doing any work on the front or rear suspension, brakes, motor mounts, cradles, etc. Stuff that is very platform specific to our cars and hard to find, but critical to have the proper torque. If necessary it could be expanded to included LS3 values (rods/mains, covers, rockers, etc), but those are more easily found elsewhere and fairly common across all the LSx motors. If someone really wanted something to do, we could also list the GM part # for the single use fasteners.
Some of this info is out there on the forum but takes quite a bit of wading through threads to find, and some of it is even disputed within those threads. Just a thought.
