I have the Livernois l92 2c cam and it’s good. Haven’t had any issues. But when I do it again, I’ll go with Matt Gower (LT1z). I had one of his custom nitrous cams in my TBSS and it was perfect in every way. He will set you up with exactly what you want. Even if you don’t want a full custom setup his stage 1-3 cams will fit most everyone’s needs and make tons of power. His stage 1 drives and idles like stock but makes around 30whp more than a N/A ls9 cammed ls3.

What about the OEM Chevy Hot Cam? could that be an option or is it not as good?
It's an 'OK' cam.

But there are grinds that will give you more peak and under-the-curve power, and better drivability than the hot cam.

Not to be picky about words about it's not an OEM part. It is a GM part but it's out of their Performance Catalog.

If I were to pick a cam the GM LS Hot Cam would not be on my list. It might be an improvement for a cathedral port LS style head but you really want a cam that will take advantage of the rectangular ports on LS3 heads.

Stock LS3 Camshaft: 204/211 .551/.525 117
LS Hot Cam: 219/228 525/525 112

Here is a tell tale sign in my mind. Look at the cam shaft included in the LS3 Power Upgrade kit.... it's not the hot cam.

thanks for clearing some of the misinformation. I thought the hot cam is in the LS3 376/525, is that not the case?
