Is it feasible to add the 2016 hood vents to a 2014?

I have loads of heat trapped in my hood wondered if it would be worth the effort to try and install the heat extractors.

If anyone with a 2016 Mystic Green wants to swap hoods, I am game, but would have to be someone near Houston. I know several folks on here hate the new hood vents.

I think the swap would be easier, but going custom is going to be best to get rid of heat. I learned the hard way on a procharged mustang about heat extraction.

I'm sure I'll be promptly corrected, but the vents aren't designed primarily for heat dissipation, they are to reduce underhood pressure and thus reduce lift. They do extract some heat, simply as a result of the flow, but I don't believe that was the primary design consideration.

Open up the vent (cut the rubber out) and a lot of heat comes out. I can visually see the heat rising at stoplights. Does it make a difference? probably not much as it's not its primary function but, it wicks more than a non vented hood.
