What will the differences be between the Chevrolet Caprice PPV and it's civilian version, the Chevrolet SS Performance Sedan?

Price, engine, transmission, 0-60, interior & exterior design, colors, suspension, brakes, drivetrain, safety features & technology are some things we can discuss in this thread and of course much more!

I know back in the 90's when Chevrolet had the Caprice SS and Caprice police car, the SS was almost as performance packed as it's police version, but just toned down a bit. Should we expect this with the future SS Performance Sedan or are we going to get something loaded with more performance than the Caprice PPV?

Starting with engine options. To my understanding the SS might get the new LT1 6.2L V8 small block that the next Corvette will have compared to the 6.0 V8 the Caprice PPV has.

Start with the size the caprice is the long wheel base version of the commodore.
SS Sedan will be based on the VF commodore so it will be shorter then the caprice.

It's a good thing we're getting a shorter wheel base. This alone probably helps greatly with performance.

I can see the longer wheel base caprice chassis be used elsewhere in GM for a luxury sedan.
