Looks like a street legal COPO to me, pretty darn cool if you ask me.

How many Camaro drivers can afford a Z/28?

I can buy a used SS and make it twice as fast for about half that price.

Great looking car but I'm not sure it will have the sales numbers they are expecting.

It would cost you a lot more than you think to mod a SS to compete with a stock Z/28. Brakes alone would cost $10k, not to mention all the goodies just to keep the car cool. You could easily build a car to go faster in a straight line, but the first set of turns it over for you.

So you are telling me that I can't make a stock SS better than the stock Z/28?

Found this SS For Sale here in Dallas (link below). Asking just over $32K.....that means I have $40K to play with before getting to the MSRP price of the new Z/28. I know for a fact that I could spend less than $25K and hang with the Z/28 on any road. And I bet mine would look better.

Oh, and this one already has cold air. Saving money already :)

Not gonna happen, a carbon ceramic brake kit alone will eat your budget.

Everybody seems to forget that fast in a straight line is not the only thing a fast car does. Take it from me, road racing RX7's against V8's and turbo 4's. Handling plays a big, big part in a track car.
