WTB full stock exhaust. I have long-tube headers and a catted x-pipe, but moving to CA and looking for a stock setup to pass emissions compliance. Located in Dallas, TX.
You bring up a question I thought about before posting this - other than the mufflers, are the 14-15 and 16-17 not the same? I thought it would be easier to make a post for the entire exhaust, but worth raising the point that I have the stock 15 mufflers, it's everything ahead of them that's aftermarket.Might help to let folks know what year exhaust you are wanting.
I'm not excited about the regulations but LA County has 10 million people. I've heard stories from how the smog would sit over LA in the 60s and I can understand why they might care about exhaust pollution.First question for you @westinakasanchez !!!
WHY THE H3LL WOULD YOU MOVE TO CALIFORNIA,,, FROM A FREE STATE LIKE TEXAS????? There are medical therapies that can help you avoid that disaster you know!!!!
If I cannot change your mind,,, then here is the BAD news!!!
You cannot have one single modification to the emissions system from as delivered stock!!! You must have the original air cleaner box with the EPA approved Carbon Trap,, NO catch cans,, and NO LT headers or non stock Cats!! The ONLY header with a CARB approval is the JBA Shorty,,, and it does not improve from the stock manifolds!! You cannot have ANY malfunction indicator lights active,,, no matter what system triggers it,, even if it is NOT emissions related!! And Now here is the biggee,,,, your ECU cannot have been modified one iota from stock,,, even if you put it back to stock and it passes at the tail pipe!! You cannot change the CheckSUM value by incrementing it up from the stock value,, and yes,, the state knows what that number is and should be!!! That said,,, that one thing is in abeyance temporarily just now,,, but will be back to being a "Thing" in a couple of months after a tech glitch by Dept of Consumer Affairs is resolved!! The ONLY caveats,,,, you purchase and have the factory or a licensed emissions mechanic (it is technically not legal for anyone that is not so licensed to even TOUCH any part of an emissions system for ANY reason here!! Its actually a felony here and likely without bailment!!) install a Maggie blower,, with the CARB approved "Canned" Tune,, that will make it run like FECES!!! PERIOD!! The canned carb tune is the only currently legal exception to the bone stock un molested rule here!!
Thats not to say folks dont mod their cars here,,, its just not gonna fly and pass Der SMOG NAZI inspections every other year here!! IF you purchased the car new here (and like me,,, original purchaser but from out of state dealer),, then you are off the hook until the 8th anniversary of the original purchase!! Beyond that,, you will have nothing but heartache with the Smog Check System and the cops in the event your car is modified in any way shape or form,,, that affects the emissions system!! There will be many Cali residents that may have to ship or sell their cars outside of Cali when they finally hit the 2 year inspection mandate!! Once your car is identified and branded a "Gross Polluter" it iw not possible to legally sell it here or obviously register/title in California!!!

The car is in the shop right now for regular maintenance but I might reach back out when I get it back if I decide to keep the car.I’ve got the stock exhaust pipe, from the collector at the stock manifold to the collector where the mufflers attach. I’m in NW Ft Worth. Let me know.
