I know I'm only dreaming, but wouldn't it be nice if some of our G8 parts would fit the new SS? Sure cut down on development time.

I could get that Solo Performance stuff now and be ready.

That's if the engine is going to be the same. They may change things. It's a long way coming.

If it sports the 5.5 or 6.2 liter LT1 engine, all bets are off because there was many many many changes made, as compared to the LS family.

To drop an LS3 into such a new platform would do it a disservice, as that engine is nearly EOL. What about an LS-A? Or ??

When I get my hands on a new SS, I'll try my best to throw on an exhaust system at my local shop.... wink wink

That would help but they want to attach a premium price to it and make it something crazy and unique, so that may not happen to a crazy extent that it ramps up production by a good amount.

Maybe some similar suspension and brake parts, but I don't know about the rest.

Anybody remember how long it was before production that we saw the spec sheets on the G8? Seems like I printed out the 2008 G8 Details Book in late '07. Just checked, no dates on it, just a 2007 copyright. So conceivably we could see the same on the SS just about any time now.

I saw on G-force web site and they sell axles, driveshaft, gears etc for the SS. Shouldnt the Camaro and G8 stuff fit as well. Danfigg
