I looked at several other sites that were not setup as well as this one.
I visited the other sites again and find they are lacking.

Now with that being said I wanted to belong to a group that had positive things to say and also to make comments about what they liked or felt needed improving.
I don't think anyone on here joined to be told they are paying to much.
The car is not worthy because it doesn't have this that or the other.
That is old and out dated and so on.
One person should not ruin it for all because they are dissatisfied with price equipment or whatever.
GM may or may not monitor these boards change will come if this car is going to make it IE. sell.
Do any of the you work for an Auto dealer, Car Manufacture, Banking or Engineering and design. These are people that will have good honest opinions and not try to ram there opinions off on everyone else.

I have meet some very nice folks on this forum and will help anyone I can that being said.

No amount of complaining is going to change this car at this stage.
Yes a manual gear box would be nice. The new for 2014 c7 engine would be nice but the amount of lead time to build the numbers to handle this is to short. So would an 8 speed auto. These are all wish list items to keep cost down you use what you have available at the time.

Don't use this forum to bully everyone because you were not consulted about the price you wanted to pay and the equipment you wanted on the car.

I am glad to have this car after the 96 Impala died GM had only a rear drive Caddy and it was 6 cyl. and pricey. I drove a Tahoe for a short time, one foreign car because of son inlaw worst car I ever owned need new tires on rear at 10000 miles need brakes and rotors at 15000 miles Mfg said it would need it again in 15000 miles it was designed this way. Bought new Corvette for wife and never looked back. GTO then G8GT never got the GTO but bought the G8 loved it till the car was wrecked went to Camaro.
Glad this car is coming to the states been a long dry spell.

SO IF YOU DON'T LIKE PRICE AND EQUIPMENT DON'T TRY TO RUIN IT FOR EVERYONE ELSE TAKE YOUR DOOM AND GLOOM ELSEWHERE.

Sorry just my opinion.

I warned guys to walk on the 2005 C6 because the 2006 was going to get a A6.
That's not doom and gloom, that's sharing info to help others out.
Sharing good information is NOT trolling.

I would be on board with the SS if it offered a manual and a lower entry price that was on par with Camaro, even if it was decontented.
If that make me a troll in your eyes, than that's your problem.

I'll say one thing, if I bought a SS now, and found out what the 2015 Camaro specs looked like a year later, I would want my money back.
If I found out that members on forums I frequented knew that info, and didn't warn me before spending my $45k, I would hate those members for not warning me.

Hopefully, GM sees the light and offers a manual and a lower entry point for the SS Sedan.
Hopefully, GM will fast track a Alpha/LT1/TR6070 SS Sedan ASAP.

If the 1 or both of the above happen, then we all can have constant group hugs on here and everyone will be happy.
But, I'm not going to lie to myself or others about what the 2014 SS Sedan is.
For the record, no one has a right to be here more than me, nor has waited and studied this car longer than I have.

1K Rider,It's not that you shared the information on how it should offer a Manual ( it should have one as an option). It's not necessarily that it should have a lower price. It is the manner in which you go into every thread and spout this out time and again.

I think all members on here know your stance on the coming SS sedan. At the end of the day people will buy this car or just move on.

Again some information you post is quite helpful at times and I am sure members appreciate the helpful information. I just ask that you try to be less confrontational with regards to what it should have. Start a new thread would be a suggestion on what you and everyone wants the SS to be in the future. That is the place to have your conversations on this subject matter not in threads which aren't related to price or specification.

Cheers.

It all goes both ways and eventually forms a vicious circle. I wasn't here for the beginning and I wont be here for the end so my input is only relative, but from what I've observed here the relationship between TTC6/1K vs the rest of the forum is constantly escalating and by that I mean, TTC/1K makes a post, half the members tell him hes stupid so the next post is more aggressive, which turns the rest of the forum more aggressive, which then makes 1Ks assaults on the SS more personal and aggressive.

But I'm just a fisherman who don't know nothing so what do I know...

well said.
although 1krider/ttc6 shares some good points, he does get confrontational. I have noticed this quite often, i think it's one of the reasons why he got banned originally

Is anyone thinking of getting the 2014 Camaro instead of the SS now, or is everyone keeping to the SS?

With a lower starting price and a great design the Camaro looks really nice.

I am willing to bet that at least part of the extra price of the SS is the fact that is has to be shipped from Australia which is about the furthest you can possibly get away from everything.

You are wrong been waiting since 2010 for this car and yes I've studied it also. That's the reason I put my money down in April on 2012.
You may have been here longer but so what. Maximum Bob Lutz was pulling the car along. Have you every worked for a car mfg. or at a dealer and sold cars? What is you back ground that allows you to be and all seeing eye. If everyone waited for the next improvement no cars would sell period. Everyone would be afraid of not having the latest greatest. I'll take mine now and not wait in other words it might fall flat on its face and no more rear drive v8.
Oh I can put a blower on my z06 or cam and hedders on it to out run some of these cars as well just like it stock right now. Oh I can do the work to by the way. Former Marine and mechanic worked for City Chevrolet in the middle 60's.

You on the other hand have 0 zero, none, nada! wake up you are not helping them. You are troll that got banned and came back to open his mouth again under a different screen name.

If people here wanted a C7 they would be a Corvette Forum. If people wanted a Camaro they would be a Camaro forum. You sir wanted a SS you think it sucks and is a rip off move on. You are proving to everyone you a a Troll! FACT you hate the car. FACT you knock the car every change you get. FACT that equals a Troll! FACT you are TTC6. So all good for you, leave no one likes you. No one thinks you have any good information.

You sir are a nobody! You have know self worth, you don't any credentials but your fingers typing on a keyboard and making yourself look like a fool!

Do everyone a favor and drive your so called twin turbo C6 yourself off a cliff! Oh and I am talking about the one that doesn't depreciate at all and is worth more then it is now then you paid for it.

A lot of people don't even care about manual tranny and all the crap you post about. People are excited for this car because it's a beast with 4 doors. At least that's why I want it. I get a family car with a toy. Simple as that.

I don't care if in 2015 something better comes out. I'll have my SS so I'll be happy.

You caught me. I've been buying new TransAms/Camaros since '79 T/A 6.6. Current car is '02 Camaro SS with SLP add-ons done at factory, 17K (parked usually). We have a Yukon and Silverado when we're being practical or hauling grandchildren. I thought the SS would cover the fun angle and get driven more often, but I can get a great deal on a 1le Camaro and keep shifting gears.
On another topic, how many people died with black & white TV's while waiting for the color sets to be perfected?

Well said... But wait let me say something that will bring the local Troll.... "I wonder how much you are going to enjoy making those payments for the next 3+years when the 2025 Camaro specs are released ????"

I say we all wait until 2100 when they release the flying Camaro!

Can I respond to this crap without the mods jumping on me or do the mods want to address this crap?
Let me know in this thread so I can take off the gloves.

I think every one needs to take a step back and just breathe for a moment. Everyone is just getting a bit carried away.

Everyone is allowed to vent frustration for what ever reason, However people need to try not to vent at any other members, or to make anything personal, generalising can be fine but is also dangerous too. Everyone just needs to choose what they type with careful consideration especially if it doesn't have any bearing on the topic at hand.

This thread is bordering on iffy now, as it is. What I ask is treat. members on this forum the way you want to be treated. I'd rather talk about how ugly bland the next Subaru appears to be compared to its concept

Than who can throw the better insult.

You're the one who starts $hit to begin with, so you've got a lot of nerve posting in here.
I quote to you reports from respected journalists who have been up close & personal with both the car & the engineers who built it. In every case it sends you into a rage because what they all say, without exception, directly contradicts your made up garbage. You may not respect US motoring journalists but do not assume the same for the Australian motoring press.
The release of a new Commodore is big news in Australia. Everything every journalist has written since driving the car has a common theme, which you simply refuse to comprehend. You react to facts with insults.

Coming on here every day and having people gripe about the price point is just plain annoying. That would be like going on a Mercedes forum and constantly saying that you think the SLS AMG should start at 100k less and have cloth seats: It just doesn't make sense. That is Mercedes halo car, they don't care if they sell that many, and they want everyone you see to be special.

Chevrolet has spoken and this is a halo type car for them; with all the bells and whistles and ammentiies, it isn't going to be diluted by cheaper versions like the G8 turned out to be. Quite frankly, the G8 GXP is an absolutely amazing car, I personally just wish the GXP's were the only cars on the lot, and not all the other cheaper iterations; it makes the halo car more special. I get why GM does it on the Camaros and other things, but quite frankly it's really nice that they aren't doing it here: it will make every SS you see a special one.

If the SS is at too high of a price point for you, move along. This is a niche car, a special car, and I'm sorry there isn't an econo model. I'm sure a Malibu or Impala forum would love to have you as their next member.

I already pay $500/month for my 2011 Cruze LTZ that I'm gonna trade in for this car. I don't care if I have to take out a 7-year loan for the SS or even longer, I want it. I live once on this planet and I'll be damned if I don't try to live it to the fullest.
