I've seen a number of threads with pictures. Since GM hasn't put anything of substance out yet, I thought consolidating them may help picking a color. Here are the pictures I've seen. I've mixed a few Commadore pics in to help, I am pretty sure the pictures have the correct colors. Please add pictures and let me know if any pictures are not the exact color.

I found the white background from the side here. The red looks a little off next to the other picture.

Handout with all colors (Thanks ChevySS)

Heron White

Phantom Black

That's not Phantom Black, that's Regal Peacock. Notice the green hues on lighter areas.

This is Phantom Black:

mystic green is probably the worst color to choose when compared to the rest of the color options, i think a lot of people will agree with me

I don't. I think it's really nice, even though it suits the Calais models better. I'm really torn between Prussian Steel and Phantom Black.

I thought i would like the green best, but it has to be one of the most unappealing shades of green that I have ever seen.

I have a slight hesitation to go with white because it shows dirt so easily, but I think it looks the nicest. Too bad there isn't a kind of darker silver blue shade. Five colors to choose from really isn't that many. Wish there were a few more options.

Looks like red hot is going to take the win for color. That was my color of choice as well for the SS sedan. I just think it does justice for the personality. the mystic green would be my second choice, it is an interesting color I would say leaning towards a more luxury color than sporty.

I took this photo at my local dealer who are just about to undergo a multi million dollar site upgrade hence why it looks a little shabby. When I first saw this colour I initially thought YUK!!! the more I see it on the road, the more I like it

I like the Mystic Green (Mystic Gray) with some darker wheels. I still need to see the Red Hot "2". I've seen pictures of it that look light and dark, so an in person viewing is still a must.

I would go with red. Its the only color that pops. All the rest are for people who want to fade into the background. Second choice would be white. Again, it is more likely to pop against the silver/gold/black masses of cars on the road.

I wish the green was a tiny bit more saturated.

White

I "ordered" a white SS from my local dealer appx a month ago. Have had a black GTO for 9 years and with 105 degree Texas summers I'm ready for a change. I can see going with any of the colors, even thought about the green. Silver seems too boring to me, can't figure out why Chevy unveiled that color. First thing I'd probably do is look into getting rid of some of the chrome and doing something about that gold bow tie, which says a lot because I usually don't mess with the factory look on any of my past cars.

No ETA on my SS, and nothing diffrerent to report other than what's alredy been posted on this forum. Thanks to those who have been posting pics, it's way more than Chevy has put out for those of us interested in this car!

Red takes it

Dang, I voted red and the poll shows that it's the most popular thus far. Second choice would be white (I'm in Vegas so yeah the coolness of a white car is enticing).

Here is my opinion on all the colors in order from least liked to favorite:

Silver: I currently own a silver car. It is way too common and to me it feels like it has no character. I know that done right, it can look nice, but too common for my liking.

Mystic Green: :WTF:what? Mystic? Ok, not to bash it too much, but it's really a shade of silver. It's not even green enough to be called green. It's like calling silver "light black" or "dark white," know what I mean? I mean, green is my favorite color but come on! This car would just blend in and lose its appeal. It may grow on some people, but I don't want any regrets!

Black: :thumbsUp:I think black is one of those colors you can't go wrong with. It's a "safe" color if you will. However, my issue with black is that it's hard to appreciate a car's curves and lines with black. You may see them from really up close, but I feel the beauty of the design gets a bit lost in such a dark color. Black can definitely look aggressive but more of the "sleeper" type of car. Lastly, I am a bit biased towards a lighter color since I live in Vegas and a black car would just be an oven when you first get in if you parked it outside.

White: :eek:k:This is my 2nd choice for several reasons. White is a car that can mix with almost any color and look good. For example, different color rims, a stripe (if you ever wanted one), window tint color, and any other accessories you can imagine. White says elegant, yet sporty at the same time, especially with some nice black (ZL1) rims. Not to mention white cars stay the coolest in the heat. To be honest, white is not a very common color on cars so it would be nice to have something different.

Red: :yahoo:The color I will go with if/when I purchase it. This color (out of the available colors) has it all. Red says sporty, fast, and aggressive. A hot red like the SS will come in is a head-turner for sure. I mean, Ferrari's are mostly red and I could never get enough of one of those. Red also goes really well with black. Though red is not really a rare color, I believe the type of red offered in the SS will really attract many, and I think this is backed up by the poll so far!:2cents:

When I first saw Mystic green I was a little underwhelmed. Then I started seeing it out on the road, saw two this morning and it actually a really nice slightly more upmarket colour than sporty and looks interesting on SS. Outside of SS I have fallen head over heels for the Black Calais V. Sophisticated, classy and I keep thinking it's an Opel when coming straight at me until I see the DRL's, Why Opel or Vauxhall couldn't sell this is beyond me.

^ so true.

The Stryker Blue Metallic wasn't even in my top-5 colors. But when I went to the dealership the Magnetic Grey Metallic was sold and all he had left was the SBM. He pulled it around to the front door for me and it was 'game over' for me.

The red takes the win for sure but reading through your spiel I just thought why of course red would go along well with black. Red SS on Black wheels!!!!!
