The dealer keeps telling me the car should be in soon but has not given me a date or location. I did all the paper work and down payment 11-23-13. They gave me the VIN on 12-2-13 and signed that paper work then. If the car is state side or on the next shipment I do not care,I just want to know where it is!

If you have a vin and they have a stock number, it should be stateside in transit somewhere. Send a PM to Chevrolet Customer Care and see if they can help you.

I just got notified that my car is still in Australia. I hope Customer Care meant that it is BUILT and still in Au. I orderd it on June 30. And I got my order number July 18. The excitement is starting to leave. My dealer says he ordered all his allocations at the same time and has received several cars already. I noticed that there are a few other members who orderd in July and are just getting notified that their cars have been built. But there are some that ordered in September that are at the same stage. Shouldn't GM take care of the people that want to lay out money NOW for this car first??? I am frustrated.

So, rather then waiting any longer, I simply checked with a few dealers in the area (Detroit), found the exact one I wanted, placed a deposit, done.

Try it, and try not to be discouraged, it's well worth the wait!!!

Maybe it's time to go hunting and see if there are any in the US near you that don't have owners. This is the sort of stuff that turns buyers away. Have to say it is disappointing to hear if your car is still here Headrat.

Was just informed by our Customer Care ladies that my car was produced on 11-29. Don't know why it took so long for a so called early order, but maybe my straw was the short one!!! Beleive me, this next ship track session that will start this weekend will have many updates, especially if I find out my car is on this boat!!!

I am one who ordered in July and was notified it was built on 12-3. I tried searching my area for White and the only one was snatched up quickly by another forum member. I agree it is a way to get the car I want faster but why should I jump thru hoops and try to beat others to get a car I ordered months ago? Just send me the one I ordered and am prepared to pay for Chevy! I get what Headrat's saying, it's frustrating, we're seeing others get theirs who ordered later or just got lucky and found one available. At least we're able to see reviews and they are good so far.

No ill will toward the other forum member who got the white one first, it was fair and square and good for him for getting the hook up.

Thank you Finch for calming me down. I will wait for the beauty that I ordered. Hopefully your car and my car and MikeC1003's car will make the boat this weekend. And many other guys and gals cars also. This should be a big shipment. Now we have to hope that it doesn't get held up in Japan like the third shipment did. That added about three weeks to the trip. I agree with you that we have the priveledge of reading the reviews BEFORE we get our cars. I'm lovin every minute of it!!!

There are two white ones available here in Houston. And I know this one at Mac Haik is in stock.

Did the dealer do your order as a retail sold or dealer stock order? Sold orders theoretically take precedence in sequencing.

My order was done as "Retail Sold". I have paperwork in hand. My dealer has three stores. All of his stock orders have shown up!! I just got done ragging on them about this. Not happy at all!!!

I just for kicks did an inventory check of some areas. Two areas are quite some drive from me. One, in Orange county, CA., there are 29 cars in various dealers. This is 375 miles from me. Another area, Kern County, CA., there are 30 cars at various dealers. This is about 250 miles from me. Why weren't these cars sent to the "Retail Sold" people rather than just sitting in showrooms and on lots???? I can't figure the marketing of this car. In my immediate area there are 9 cars available. And none of ANY are what I ordered!!!!!

Wish I understood how everything works. You'd think those with early retail orders, like Headrat & Finch, would get early build dates. First come-first served. It's gotta be a bit frustrating.

My order went 1100 (Order Accepted) on 9/18 & went 3450 (Import Vehicle Produced) on 11/21. Headrat & Finch ordered their cars a couple months before I did & their cars weren't built until after mine.

Hey Mike I'm following an SS that was ordered in Sept. and if my info is correct it was built in the last week of Nov. or first week of Dec. trying to nail this down.

I ordered mine on 9/9/13 from dealer, on 10/21/13 it was 3300 (scheduled for production), on 11/11/13 it was (vehicle has been produced). My order was for White with spare no sunroof. I know all the ones coming into the South Jersey area have sunroofs, did any of you out there that ordered early not get the sunroof? Could it be that they ran body’s with sunroofs first ???

I ordered silver spare NO ROOF on 10-23. 11-1 available to sequence. 11-21 scheduled for production and still hanging there.
