So, what kind of deal did you get on your SS?

Bought new with cold hard cash?
Lease?
Finance?
How long is your term?
Put any money down?
How much is your monthly payment?
What kind of interest rate did you get?
Trade in?
What kind of car did you trade?
What did your dealer give you for the trade?

This could possibly help some people when they go to buy their SS.

ordered retail sold price protected.
Straight MSRP and I have a buyers order.
less GM card points (original card no limit!)
less private offer certificate owed me and in system for whenever I want it. $500 minimum but if they're going for more when she comes in I'll get that.

Guys you have to remember there is only just over $1100 in them ... No dealer is going to dip into the holdback, the advertising is a cost and if its retail sold there is no floorplan credit and if its a stock order forget the credit even if you buy it the day it comes in! That credit offsets the metal thats been on the lot too long.

This was the only dealer in town that did not add $1500 to the price tag.

I went to Findlay Chevrolet here in Las Vegas and they had an additional $2000 price tag for 'Specialty Car'. They only had a white and silver one. Such an upgrade from my G8 GT but I won't pay the additional $2000.

Yeah Findlay called me too. They quoted me $1500 not $2000. Either way, you can get the car without that extra money added on. I really liked the white but I didn't like it $1500 more.

Over at Henderson Chevrolet they had an additional charge of $5000! The salesman told me it was because they are 'limited'. I understand that these are limited based on all of the information we have learned from the past 10 months but $5k is outrageous.

Kind of disgruntled, I went over to Towbin Dodge to check out the SRT8 again. They were asking $56k plus an additional $6k for limited market (Just like the SS at Henderson). The SS interior is by far superior to the SRT8. I still love the exterior of the SRT8 but everything else is nicer on the SS. Especially for about $13k-$15k less.

I still can't get my head around the market adjustment thing. The car is built to order. It will likely be limited untill after the new year. As has been mentioned, There will be dealers who won't mark up. Those are the ones to give your business to if you are able.
Or there is the courtesy delivery I have heard mentioned a fair bit

Highly unfortunate that stealerships are sticking it to potential SS buyers with their adjusted mark up but that's what I expected. Hence the reason I recently went with Caddy's CTS-V instead. 556hp supercharged, Recaro seats NAV etc...Much more bang for the buck if you buy one used for around the same price or less than the SS pending year.

They are crazy! I'm not sure you can get an SRT8 up to $56K with ALL the available options. I found that dealer has one with a sticker price ...TOTAL PRICE:* $54,355
As far as an additional $5K for the SS or $6k for the SRT8, you could order it almost anywhere in the country and have it delivered to your driveway for less.
It appears to me that there are many dealers selling at MSRP. I guess it's just a matter of how far you have to go for them.

The dealership here in Seattle got there Black SS in yesterday. I went down and checked it out. Love the car but they want $5K over invoice. I am going to wait.

I know the Holden variant is limited to 250 kmh (155 mph). Same top speed as the Caprice PPV IIRC
The Camaro SS is limited to 155 from the factory. The limit is set based on the wheels from the factory. The V6 Camaro with the same 20" wheels is limited to 155, but a V6 Camaro from the factory with 18" wheels is limited to 115. This goes hand in hand with the tire rating.

$56K + $6K= $62 without TTL. Who would pay that? That's Ludacris!

They list in the low 50's here and you can get a SUPER BEE for cheaper. Of course the Super Bee doesn't have the leather. But good bang for the buck if you want the look and power.

As for the Chevy dealer markup....that was expected. Of course I haven't seen that here, yet.

I couldn't believe it when he mentioned the 'market adjustment' on the SRT8. He said, 'If I can get you around the $56k mark (MSRP), would you be interested in buying today?'. I almost laughed right there at his offer. For the amount of money we are willing to spend on these vehicles, you don't think we do a little homework and research?

I really think the exterior on the SRT8 is bada** but the interior is at about the same level as the Malibu. I even like my G8 GT interior better but the technology is much more dated. The SS is the most practical 4 door sports sedan on the market for it's price. It took one trip to the Dodge dealership to realize this.

I am definitely going to buy an SS in the next year or so. But I'll wait until the negotiating price starts at MSRP. Anything more is unrealistic in my opinion.

The CTS-V is one of my favorite cars on the market. Sounds like you got a nice deal as well. But I love my G8 GT and it's unique blend of style, speed, and comfort. I'm 6' 4" and the G8 GT has been my favorite car I have ever owned. Had an Audi A4 (Always in the shop) and an M3 (Too small for a mid-30s guy with my height) before my G8. I said if GM ever makes an upgrade to the G8 GT from Holden, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

It's here and I want one badly. But I can wait a few months while the market adjustments are taken away and the price is more practical. Not TTC6 practical...just around MSRP. The car is a beauty if anyone else gets a chance to see it in person.

Also, why is there no dark gray? They have that color in the advertisements. I was hoping when we learned we could pick colors, that this would be one of the first added. I love black but as ChevySS (Another poster in the forum that lives in Vegas) stated, it just gets too hot here.
