I just thought I'd set this up to see what sort of deals are being done. Above, Below or dead on MSRP.
If you don't wish to disclose an exact price a simple more or less type of response will be fine.
It is more to establish a baseline for better bargaining power to negotiate a fair price that isn't Jacked up.

( I don't expect much in final pricing untill they hit NA soil )

My dealer and I haven't discussed it but based on everything I know I'm thinking this will be one of those just under msrp kind of deals. Maybe like he eats the sales tax or something. I don't believe it will be an at or above msrp car because GM is already stepping in with employee discounts, whereas the Stingray they are not. I think this really sets the precedent there. This is a niche car, and it's going to take a niche buyer to pick them up off the lots.

I called all the dealerships her in The Phoenix area and all are saying they are holding at MSRP. I agree this is a Limited build not a Limited stock car. When I call they say they have some that are available so that tells me there should be some room for them to negotiate.

You guys need to nut up and stAnd fast when it comes to negotiations.
They aren't paying any floor plan interest. They're not taking any risk because the car is pre sold. The car is SIX YEARS old with an old chassis, old motor, and an old transmission.
Frankly, with all the additional frivolous content that GM forces you to pay for, even if you are paying $100 over dealer invoice, you are overpaying for the SS. Anything remotely near MSRP is ridiculous.

How do you feel about overpaying knowing the TRUCKS already have the entirely new generation of engine shared with the entirely new generation corvette and next year the Camaro will get the new engine and the same lightweight chassis shared with $60k Cadillacs?
You'd have to be a fan boy to even consider buying the SS at any price right now.

And, before you even try to give me a hard time, I am one of the biggest GM Fans there is and I have probably bought more new And used GMs for my personal use than most of you and having been driving GM v8 vehicles for the last 20 years.

GM Employee Price - $42,497
Dealer Invoice - $42,726 (according to price sheets in another thread)
These prices include destination charge and gas guzzler tax, but not the sunroof or spare.
If it were me, I would start at the GM Employee price and see what they say. The worst thing they can tell you is "No".

Personally, I am holding out for regional incentives and rumors for the 2015 model. As bad as I want the car, I am not in a position where I MUST buy something right now.

Why, he doesnt post anything confrontational, its pure facts. Just because he doesn't have the same conformity bias... as far as i can tell TTC6/1K has never actually said he doesnt want the SS, hes always said he doesn't want the SS at that price, and i think thats where alot of misunderstanding goes on...

That post there all he said was that there is old tech poured into this car, which you can't really refute seeing as its true. He never said the technology was poor or unuseable, just that its a touch dated. Then went on to say he wouldn't buy this car at MSRP.....

What exactly about that is head banging worthy? I'm pretty sure everyone here would like to buy an SS below MSRP.... I just think its foolish to write off what he's saying because you disagree with his style.

Good point man. There's no reason to be over paying even by a cent for this car. Some people will just pay what ever the dealer wants because they want the car so badly. Also with them being sold at specific dealers it might make negotiating a bit harder

My dealer said it'll be MSRP or maybe a bit less, when car arrives. Be nice to get it for the GM Preferred Price ($42,401.18). By the way, stopped by the dealer yesterday. GM Workbench is showing the event description, for my order, at 3000 (Accepted by Production Control)

You know, this is strange. I live in the same geographic area as MikeC1003 and yesterday my dealer called to say my order was accepted by production control also. What is kinda of smelly is that I ordered my car on June 30 and recieved my order number on July 18 and just now it is getting close to build??!! 2 and 1/2 months later?? MikeC1003 when did you order your car??? Just for the **** of it mine is Silver, no sun roof but with a spare tire. I wonder if they are "batch building" them??

Headrat, got the order # on 9/27. Believe the dealer placed the order about a week earlier. Didn't really have any firm info until I got the order #. Funny thing, the dealer gave me a different order # yesterday. It's the one used for the GM Workbench info. It's a 6-digit number with all letters. The first order # was 6-digits but had 5 letters & 1 number. The silver looks like a great color. Hope all is well in Oakley. Been there but it's been a long time. Maybe I can meet up with you guys in Benicia sometime.

I agree. The new LT1 should be by far a better mill. Invoice or under should be absolute top price.

my dealer started out asking more than list and would not take the supplier discount , I checked other local dealers and it appears to be the same . The dealer I am using is the only one with allocation for one this early { we live in a more rural area } and the one I have a deposit on will be the only one within 150 miles . So I guess I would have to pay it or drive and hope I can find one not sold .

This old post has been beat to death you tagged. I have owned 56 new cars 29 were new corvettes and numerous used cars so op is wrong on a lot of fronts. You can't just stick any engine in a car it has to under go federal cert for that car lots of money for small number of cars is not a good investment on GMs part.
