I threw out the question the other day asking what you liked about the Chevy SS. On the flipside of this coin, I thought it'd be interesting to hear what you don't like about it.

Do you think there is something Chevy could have changed or improved? What did Chevy get wrong?

1. I'm going to say that the styling is not aggressive enough for my taste. My 4 year old G8 looks meaner than this thing.

2. It needs more HP. You would think that after all of the work gone into making the VF or should I say re-styling the VE, Holden/GM would have bumped the HP from the GXP level. Heck throw the M6 Camaro SS engine in it and you have an increase right there albeit minimal, but an increase non-the-less. The point is they have the means in current applications, but chose not to do it... lazy.

I bet the guys at HSV can make a mean looking VF commodore aka our Chevy SS...... http://www.ssforums.com/forum/holden-vf-forum/335-hsv-clubsport-holden-vf-commodore.html

Needs a more aggressive look, at least the option of hood scoop(s), spoiler.

Needs better color selection something besides gray, red and dark green (black)

#1: Needs Manual
#2: Either needs more HP (LS7, LSA, LT1), OR needs to be priced comparable to the G8 GXP, which it essentially is.
#3: More aggressive styling....but this can be resolved with a HSV conversion once it comes out.

The Barbados Blue offered for one year on the GTO was my favorite color.

2. Can 40,000 2009 dollars buy $40,000 cars today?
that was why I said priced 'Comparable' to the GXP. GXP was $40k, SS shouldn't be more than 6-8% increase in price. It's basically a mid-model refresh of the GXP, and doesn't warrant a new pricing structure. Do you think they are going to bump the 2014 Camaro $10k becuase it's getting new bumpers/lights?

If it had a totally different, more powerful drivetrain, then we might be talking...but upgrading to interior to what it should have been in the first place doesn't cut it.

I think the conservative front end should suit their nascar-target-audience well. Maybe future production years (with better options as above) could explore more aggressive styling, to bring it similar in agressiveness to the new Z28.

I for one don't care for the global-A requirement of all flash history is fully recorded and validated when considering warrantees. The old days are gone and never coming back, big brother has you.

+1

For sure needs a manual... Either give us same price or less vs GXP or give us more. And more as in - more power, more drivetrain options.

Im ok with the styling. Nothing wrong with it.

The single outlet exhaust tips. I'm glad they didn't go with the fad of rectangular everything, but quad is the way to go.

Also, wish the rear valance was glossy like our Australian counterparts.

That's an awesome color. I would like to see it on the Chevy SS with a bit of pearl or just something to modernize it a bit or something to make it look more alive then it was.

I think it would even make the SS look a bit on the luxurious side.

It also could be a hit or miss, making the SS look tacky or amazing!

The only issue I have with it is that it appears that it has no load leveling. With four passengers and baggage it will need it or the headlights will be in the trees.

I have not figured out how to add it short of air suspension in the rear.

Simple.

NEEDS better color choices.

Gloss black bumper bar, rear like the VF SS-V redline

Better wheels, current ones are as boring as the silver one that out there.

Slight slight drop, 10mm.

Manual option

430hp minimum with an aggressive tune so it can keep up with SRT8's

This should help its boring look just enough to make the car actually sell.

Would like -

Slightly more aggressive bodykit
