This should be a fun thread to get comments out of SS owners, I'll start.

1) The lack of a hidden ashtray/coin holder. I like the pop-out style trays to hold my change since I don't like having coins in plain site.

2) With some of the higher frequency bass notes there is a rattle in the door panel, may just be the speaker not being able to hit that note. Nothing too major and only happens with few select tracks.

3) This may be more of a MyLink/XM thing, but the lack of being able to just set presets for XM to quickly select stations like AM/FM instead of moving channel by channel. At least I wish you could change the XM station through the steering wheel.

4) Expanding on number 3, sometimes when changing XM stations the station goes back - or is laggy. IE. Going from channel 42 to 51 sometimes takes 9 pushes, sometimes 8, sometimes 10, etc.

5) The XM reception gets broken by a lone palm tree or when next to an overpass retaining wall. Being in Florida there are trees in basically every median, and when stopped at a redlight I have to stop in a spot where a tree won't block my reception.

For the record this are just little things that don't bother me all that much, but they are notable. I still love this car.

No presets for O/S mirrors, No power tilt and telescope on the steering wheel and with no power no presets. They could have put Active Engine Management on it and saved me the gas hog tax and increased mileage. No VVT.

I'm still getting to know the car, but they only thing that has jumped out at me so far is the missing garage door opener. It doesn't really bother me, just surprised it did have one with all the stuff it does have.

My husband commented on the lack of cool/warm drink holder feature like his charger has, but I don't care about it.

I will say that I LOVE the memory seat position thingy. Hubby is 6'4" and I'm 5'3". On the off chance he drives my car, it is a blessing to have this for sure. Also, the HUD, I love, love, love it!

Maybe I am misunderstanding your complaint, but I have XM presets on the radio. Also, the SRC button on the right of the steering wheel, when rolled up and down, cycles through the presets.
Also, you can use voice commands to tune to a specific station, either by channel number or name: "Tune XM 90" or "Tune XM Nascar" will both take you to the same station.
You should have 6 pages of Favorites (Presets) that you can set and cycle through. They are not source dependant, so you can mix XM, AM, and FM presets in any order on the list.

I absolutely LOVE my SS but......

1). I would like to have a DVD player and a 40G or > HDD to rip and record cd's and playback live music from radio stations/XM ect.

2). I would like a POWERED Telescopic Heated & Cooled Steering Wheel with a programmable "EXIT" Position for the Driver's SEAT and the Steering Wheel.

3). I would like an operable express open/close sunroof switch/button.

4). I would like to achieve better MPG without losing ANYTHING the SS already offers.

5). I would like the SS to have it's own unique Emblems, Badging, Center Wheel Caps, and steering wheel. Ex. Cross Flag or Something other than the HUGE Gold Chevrons.

6). I would like a longer Service Maintenance Plan and Bumper to Bumper warranty for my SS. 4yrs. 50k miles Would say "I'm pretty DARN Confident!"

I did state that I LOVE my SS.... Right?
But, This short list would just send me over the TOP....

Interesting, I recall trying to set XM presets and it would just tune to the FM preset I was trying to overwrite. I'll give it another shot today.

My only gripe is the random beeping from the backup sensor thingys. I have yet to be able to establish what they are beeping for at different times, and I fear the beeps are turning into a "little boy who cried wolf" thing for me. Loud beeps should be reserved for something actually being there, not just "Hey, I'm watching you back now, and if something is there is will be a loud beep like this....."

Other than that, the car is awesome.

The forward facing sensors beep when reversing as well. So if you are reversing out of a parking spot or garage where you are close to an object in front of you the beep will sound.

Me too, initial target date is June, but, at that point, I may wait on a 2015.

No homelink(no biggie), no power adjuster for the steering wheel, no driver 1, driver 2 key fobs so the settings are unique to the key fobs like Cadillac does, no exit setting(or automatic exit, again, like Cadillac does), no express close sunroof, would like to have avoided the "gas guzzler tax" just to lower the price(I don't care about the mileage) and more colors.:whatdoyouthink:

So it won't beep to prevent you from hitting the curb, but it will beep at you as you are backing away listening the the scrape.......genius.

I still love the car.

Slap exhaust on that bad boy and people might mistake you for a Honda Civic Type R on the highway. Roflmao.

Braaaaap!

The only thing that bothers me so far about this whip is that the front rotors are rust free due to a good ferritic-nitro carburizing treatment on the caps.

However, the rear brake rotor's have been completely owned by road salts in a matter of weeks. Very depressing and highly embarrassing. So much for washing her every day. It's rusted, don't touch it. :(
