hi guys finally my husband and I got around to putting on the walkinshaw cold air intake ,it didnt take to long to put it on and it looks ok ,but i think the roto fab on my car looks better so view the photos of each and vote on the one that you think looks better .ute with walkinshaw or sedan with roto fab .

The Walkinshaw look is fine by me, provided it increases airflow vs. Rotofab. Does it contain a larger filter?

the air filters seem to be about the same size on both ,took it for a drive today and the ute is a stick shift and the induction sound is great nice and loud through the gear changes the induction roar is louder than the roto fab as roto fab is inclosed the walkinshaw is not my husband is very happy with it ,now for the next install is some headers with 200 cell cats.

I have a Roto Fab and it’s fine. It’s not like I open my hood everyday where it would bother me, either. Regardless, I’m going with a Harrop OTR soon as I like there’s ability to pull in fresh air from the front of the car versus the Roto Fab acting as a vacuum to the engine bay air.

Thank you for the helpful information. I collect air intake systems for the SS/Commodore and I like this design. Currently, I have the Harrop, X-Air (carbon), RotoFab, so this one is next.

You'll like it! I have not experienced any 'noticeable' tuning issues with turbulence as the theory suggests by some.

yes i wanted to keep it factory too, but the fittings for sound enhancer were not offered in the kit ,this was something that I made up my self being a tool maker by trade I made some step down fittings to connect different size piping and machined up a elbow fitting that bolts underneath the walkinshaw intake elbow ,as I wanted to be able to use the sound enhancer and not block it off hope that answers your question .
