Hello to everyone from here in North Alabama. I have been a member since around April, but have resisted posting to prevent getting caught up in the back and forth with TTC6. But now that he's banned, the SS's are beginning to show up and the forum has definitely taken a very positive, helpful direction, I’m all-in.
Currently,my only GM product is a 1982 Buick Regal Wagon street machine. It has a strong pump gas 455 Buick engine and runs 7.3s at 92 mph with high 1.50 sixty ft on street legal drag radials (see attached photos).
I am very interested in seeing performance tests on the SS. The idea of a 4-door rear wheel sedan with a proven Corvette drive train really appeals to me. While some may look for the latest drive train innovations, this performance oriented senior person would be more than happy with the proven and easily modified C6 drive train if the initial tests look promising.
