Looks like the next generation HSV is keeping LED Tail Lights. They will replace the stock units without modifications. more details at link:

also it sounds like Commodore pricing will be upto $5000 ceaper than out going VEII models. So if accurate may be a glimmer of closer to 40k pricing for SS.
