I am installing some parts on my car, and need to get the hose off that either to or from the tank to the purge solenoid up by the Throttle body. its a black hose with some sort of yellow mechanism.

How do you get that hose off? I am getting flustered with it and fear II will break it soon. There are actually 2 of them, one by the firewall and one by the throttlebody.

Please help!!!! I am stuck...

There should be a another yellow tab piece on the opposite side. Squease the two together and pull the hose off.

I think,...if I remember correctly!

Push the tube down, squeeze the tabs in and pull the tube off while squeezing the tabs.

I will try that again. by "tabs" you mean the rectangular yellow ribbed-looking ones? or do you mean the smaller, square, sot or recessed yellow things 90 degrees off from the bigger rectangular ones?

I have squeezed, pressed, pulled, pushed, etc my fingers bloody, but I will go try again.

THANKS for the responses!!!!
Yes, the the rectangular yellow ribbed-looking ones.

@Wheelhopper, I gave you the wrong advice. Depress the indented yellow ones opposite of the ribbed ones with two small screwdrivers.

Push it in first, then squeeze and pull.

I have done this a few times and sometimes they are a little bitchey to get off.
Hi all thx for the help. The fitting near the firewall came off exactly as you guys described.

The one up front absolutely refused. it was as though it had been filled with epoxy or something.

It met an early demise... I am back on track.

thx again!
