Here's what my dealer texted me just this morning:
I just an email from GM announcing production commencement. Not too much longer now! That means they're in production, they're available in other parts of the world before the US oddly enough

My dealer just chuckles and says "I'll keep you posted, you are in the system". Do you think GM is on a campaign to give us the "mushroom treatment"?? I mean on the video of the VF Commodore assembly line, which is excellent, the gentleman at the beginning says they can make 400 cars a day!!! I think the 300 figure tossed around here is more likely. This number times five days a week and by three weeks now---yes, I think a ship could be filled!! Hey Asylum, what you have to say about production numbers??

400 was correct when the video was filmed it is now 335 cars as of the beginning of August, with the ability to ramp up with overtime. Specifically on Saturdays.

I read on a GMI thread that there has appaently been 1000 SS already built ready to ship, It is plausible if they have engaged in some overtime, Asylum mentioned sometjhing like 50 cars a day have been going down the line for NA.
Middle east exports of the SS or its equivalent havn't started yet, they are getting the update Caprice but main production is filling Aussie/ NZ orders first, then I believe Amrican orders followed 2014 PPV
Not 100% sure on PPV. I don't even know if exports to South Africa have recommenced, It's possible as they are RHD.

1000 units are currently on at least 1 boat that set sail earlier this week. I have heard that there was another with an unknown number it too that left a few days earlier.

Man I'm learning a lot of stuff with keeping track if this car and going about buying it the way I am for the first time. So knowledgeable. It's an awesome experience I won't forget.
It's all nice to see this forum picking up some volume. Man the day we all get our SS's.

I know right, i feel special since i've been here from the start. this forum has come a long way. With TT_C6 banned, i wonder if his tone would have changed with how the forum is now.

If the numbers are correct 50 a day than only 700 have been produced. if they worked Sat. that would be another 100 produced by the 30th of month. Only way a load of 1000 on ship would be if it include the police cars just saying.
