It's not that EZ. Just one example checking the mail. So your saying there's no way to turn it off.First, don't have the key fob in your pocket with the car running when you get out. If you want to let it run, set the fob in the car and don't close the door all the way.
Next look for this in the forum, Annoying "Honk-Honk" and all you need is there!
I have not found a way to turn it off either. That, or I'm an idiot that can't read the owners manualIt's not that EZ. Just one example checking the mail. So your saying there's no way to turn it off.
Nice try, but that doesn't work. That disables the double-honk when you close the door and the fob is still in the car.To disable the warning:
With the car running, press Home on the center stack. Then select the "Config" app and navigate to "Vehicle Settings." From there look for the Remote Lock/Unlock/Start menu and select it, in there you want to disable the "Remote Left in Veh. Reminder."
Although that may not disable it when you are leaving with the key while the car is on. I thought I had read previously that it disables that as well, but I may be mistaken.
I hate to be the one to say this but, the SS does not have an ignition key.Hey Everyone,
I was able to complete my research on this request. This chime is to alert the driver the key is in the ignition and the door is open and the fob is leaving the vehicle. It is designed to alert driver that he/she is leaving the key in the ignition and cannot be turned off. I am sorry if this is not the answer you wanted. For clarification, this is when the vehicle is on.
