Well the SS has about 410 miles on it now. Gas mileage was 15.4 when I filled up on the road showing more don't remember what. On way back I reset gas mileage and it was at 25.5 for a while then slow downs hills and driving thru town now reads 20.5. Need to fill up again with Chevron hi test and change oil to mobil 1 I think on a trip flat land not mountains I should see 25 mpg or better.
Oh and I'm stuffed Ham, catfish, country fried steak, and chicken.
potatoes, okra, green beans. peas, cream corn, biscuits corn bread.
Carrot cake they had five desserts.

When I make a drive to work in the car pool it's 189 miles round trip and I average 19mpg. That's at 70 most of the time.

Edit: 825miles and my overall average is 16.6mpg

Does it not come from the factory with Mobil 1?

BTW, average MPG for the Auto GXP's are anywhere from 16-19. Depending on how much city/hwy driving you do. I used to be right at 18 but then I got a tune and it when down to 17-17.5. Plus my foot is in it a bit more now.

I had the best fried catfish in Savannah many years ago when I was there on business!

Unexpectedly good mileage for being unbroken in.

Not that I can find, Mobil 1 is Dexos approved. I buy two 5 quart jugs at Wall Mart and take to dealer along with oil filter from Z06 dry sump UPF48R Case is stronger.

My dealer uses Mobil1 for their synthetic oil changes. Thanx for the tip on the filter, Doug. Do you use the GM brand?
