OK, not sure if this is the correct forum or not.... I saw that one could enable the tilt-down mirror function, so I did, and now I've decided I don't like it (I liked the way it was implemented on my 5-series: it only affected the passenger mirror and you could defeat it just by having the rear view mirror button in a certain spot. The SS tilts both mirrors down and I don't think that you can stop it without actually disabling the function). BUT, here's the confusing part--where do I defeat the function?? It looks like in the manual it is pointing you to Comfort & Convenience in the Config menu system but when I get to that menu page, there is no choice having anything to do with the tilt-down mirror function! I'm sure that I'm missing something, so please, help me out. Thanks.

Indeed, and that's probably where I turned it on. The issue is, now that I've turned it on, when I go back to the same page, it is no longer there for me to turn off! Just wondering if anyone can either verify a bug or point me in the right direction to be able to turn off the tilt-down feature. Thanks.

I see the option to turn it on and off. Just reset to factory if you can't see it. Sucks to lose all the setting but you can make a backup on a thumb drive.

OK, I think I sort of figured it out/answered my own question. Basically, with the rear view mirror selector in "neutral" (neither left or right mirror selected), the option for the tilt-down goes away. Once I selected the Left mirror and then went in to the menu, the tilt-down selection was available again and I was able to turn it off. Whew! Thanks for the feedback.

I'm going through this right now. Did anyone ever get a solution to this? The setting was in comfor/conveinence, but after seleting ting it on and then deciding I didn't like the way it worked, it has now disappeared. I did the reset to factory settings and its still not there. How do I turn that feature off now?

I tried it, hated it, and turned it off.
I don't remember where it was I just kept going thru all the personalization setting trying them to see if I liked them.
FYI the lane departure is annoying too many false warnings.

The VE allowed you to set a normal position and a tilt position separately. Can't imagine why they took that option away with the VF.

I do hate it and I am trying to turn it off, but, it disappeared from the menu. I would leave it on if it worked like the one in my Caddy I used to have or my Infiniti trade in.

How do you get it to come back on the menu?

Had that feature on my Avalanche. Loved it, because it sat so high, I couldn't see how close I was to the curb when parallel parking.

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones - my exterior mirrors do not tilt down when in reverse gear. Mirror tilt in reverse gear is not in my menu regardless of where the mirror selector switch is set. Does the car have to be in reverse gear for this option to show on the MyLink screen? Settings for Chime Volume and Button Chime appear, but no Reverse Mirror Tilt as shown on manual page 5-35. Anyone want to "chime in" on what's up here? I'd like to give it a try to see if I like it.

I like it. Shows me the lines when backing into a parking spot.

Yep, right sequence - just doesn't show the mirror option on mine.

Hmmm.... will look deeper into this tomorrow - don't think the seat memory is working quite right either. Manual indicates the mirror tilt is related to the memory seats. Have to do a little playing around with it.
