Well, as the title suggests, it is time. My Phantom Black SS rolled off of the transport today at 4, I take possession tomorrow at 2. I wasn't this excited to pick up my Callaway truck, haven't been this excited about a car since my first one, a 1973 GTO. I've had that and others through the years, most recently my Callaway trade in CallawaySC540 - Gallery - GM-Trucks.com, which I will miss. I took a bath on the trade, but there's something about this car that I had to have. Not even sure what, but I had to have it.
I look forward to being part of this community, what I've read to this point has been very insightful and informative. I will post more as time goes by, both questions and comments alike. Thanks again for the welcome that I've received to this point.
Man, I am so freakin' excited!

Will do Mike, thanks. As soon as I become a little more familiar with the forum I'll work on a signature, an avatar and a gallery. It may be a few days though, hard to do behind the wheel...

I know the feeling Jonathan!! Had to excuse myself when I got the paperwork done on my Silver Bullet. Had to be with her all by myself for a few moments. The emotion was different and really deep when I got the keys. Even though I saw my car shortly after she came off the ship, it was different. A 'complete' feeling. Congradulations!!

Thanks Headrat. It was also a bit emotional cleaning up the Callaway for the last time. Had it for two years, never saw another one on the road. The SS also adds me to a pretty exclusive club, but with other owners to bounce ideas and questions off of right here at SSforums.com

Thank you all for the congrats. No tire melting yet, but I'm not going to baby it for too long. There are always mixed views on break in periods and procedures, I usually drive it like I always will right out of the box. Don't want to surprise the engine at 500 miles after driving Miss Daisy...
As for the Callaway SS, there is no longer a Callaway distributor in Iowa, and I would want local representation. One of the reasons I traded in the truck.
Thanks again to everyone. This car is awesome.

Seems like a good spot...

There has been some tension here as of late, and some question regarding my intent in one thread and what I do or don't condone in another. I blame no one for these questions, and have worked to explain myself a little more to those who posed the questions. It came to me that none of us really know very much about each other at all. Some like it that way, and I get that. Others want this forum to turn into Facebook, which is not my intent. I just thought I'd help anyone who is wondering who the bald fat guy I refer to now and again is.
My name is Jonathan. I own the 2015 PBM SS outlined in my signature. My previous car and the truck before it are mentioned and/or linked in previous posts in this thread. I work for a trucking company, and am a dockworker. Nothing fancy or glorious, just a guy on a forklift at an LTL trucking terminal.
I have been married for almost 22 years, and have a beautiful, intelligent 14 year old daughter. She is the light of my life and my greatest contribution to humanity.
I'll not get into politics. I won't open a dialog on religion either, but will say that Jesus Christ is my savior. I'll leave it at that, and would appreciate the same in return.
I'm 50 years old. Some days I feel it, other days not so much. When I'm in my SS I feel like the baddest man on the planet.
I love my God, I love my family, I love my country and I love my SS.

Congrats, the cleaning up the old car for the last time hit a cord with me. Regardless the car it's always bitter sweet. Haven't done it yet but presuming it like watching your child drive away to college.
