42.41HP & 40.28TQ!

Very pleased with the feel and sound of it. Who would have thought a CAI and tune could be such a huge improvement?

Livernois Motorsports did a Great job! Worth the $ for this combo 100%!

Just like a new car again, only 6 weeks old and a totally new feel.

Were these gains from the Roto-fab and 93 octane tune?

My '12 SS Camaro had 19* of timing in it. He said the 13 and 14 LS3 cars have hotter tunes from the factory from the cars he's seen.

That doesn't pass the sniff test for me. Even the 2012 Camaro SS' were rated at 426hp from the factory. I highly doubt the SS Sedan would have MORE timing and be rated at less HP. If you told me that the SS Sedan has five degrees of timing LESS...that I would be quicker to believe.

I'm sure Andy can comment on the timing he is seeing on the stock ECU file for the SS...then we can put that rumor to bed.

As for the tune gains versus tune/intake gains...it isn't a linear equation...especially when it comes to the tune...if you are heavily modified a tune will 'gain' hp differently than taking a stock motor and reflashing the ECU. It's all about perspective.

Really? My tuner said the one I took home from my store for the weekend had 24* of timing in the motor from the factory and he said he might be able to pick up 5hp with a tune alone. That means the cold air picked up 35 tire?

Livernois tested their SS with and without a CAI

Tune alone they got like 25hp or so.

The CAI alone was 11hp

"Your tuner" needs to stay away from your car. Just my opinion.

The question that will blow your mind is, would he be able to do that on a oem intake? :)

<-Has intake.

No, the CAi adds around 10-15, the tune is more than 25 on these cars. This is similar to what we see on all LS3 vehicles in terms of power gains. There is more than a little left on the table :)

I trust him 150% He was trained by Pat G. Check out Pat G on LS1tech.com  I made 475 RWHP Cam/bolt-on package and 460 RWTQ Mustang Dyno numbers. No one is doing that with an LS3 yet.

I know what Rick Crawford can do with a G8. It would be cool to see what he could do with an SS!
