I think they hit the nail on the head. It just doesn't have the attitude needed to stand out. Great sleeper but no attitude. Don't get me wrong I love the SS and will have one in the near future. But It needs the Holden trim to stand out.

I found it interesting that the one thing they didn't like about the SS is the main thing I do LIKE about it. That being the "sleeper aspect" of the car. Partly why we ordered white instead of black as has been our choice in the past. Don't want the attention drawn to the car like the guys in the video. I'll be perfectly happy knowing what the car is and can do myself, I'm sure much like several other owners on this forum.
If someone wants that instant recognition they should go get the SRT or other brands as mentioned in the video.
I think it won't be long before the recognition of the SS will ramp up on the street. You can probably see it as a look of fear in the eyes of the beholders once we have a few more units pounding the pavement this summer.

I'm all about sleepers also. Loved my 94 and 96 SS impala for that. My G8 is also somewhat of a sleeper. But more sporty looking. No one looks twice at the SS. They just think it's a Malibu. Which is a great looking car. My wife even said it looked like a grandpas ride. Compared it to a Malibu even and she knows nothing about cars. Lol. She said that thing is $47k? No way. Looks like a $25,000 rental car. I had to laugh. But I still love the SS and will have one soon. Just wish it had a manual. Maybe the 2015 model will...

One of the reasons I bought the SS IS, it's a sleeper...SRT's are nice but that body style is a dime a dozen...Didn't want a gangster look, didn't want to look like every other LEO cruiser coming down the road. The bald guy doing the vid says, "14mpg average" Dude take your foot out of the throttle once in a while...LOL
