my only wish for the C7 was that it looked more like it's prototype, just imagine that.

Ford needs to build a Ford GT successor and Chevy needs to rival that with a Chevy supercar...

at least for now the closest thing to a Chevy/GM supercar is the Venom GT...

I know right? I'm still on the fence about the SS though, I'd rather wait another year to see what they do with it, and also see what ends up in the ATS-V.
That's probably your best bet.
I find that being an early adopter there's always some downsides to it, just need to be really passionate about it to be that early adopter. Fortunately im willing to hold off until next year like you.

ATS-V is one highly anticipated vehicle, i think a test mule was spotted months ago.

I've considered a used CTS-V but can't get past the 10-12 mpg I would get. I'm never even on the highway.

Theres already guys doing some stupid fast things with the ATS, the guys at Pfdat have an ATS package that’s more than capable of running the Texas Mile at 162.5 mph.

Now what im really excited for are when we start seeing the go fast goodies pop up for the SS. even a new downpipe could work wonders.

Anyone hear anything yet about SS performance tunes?

I watched those videos and got to thinking - I rarely carry passengers and I hate the small trunk of the Camaro. The Corvette has always had good storage in the trunk and I have a truck for anything really big... 30mpg hwy... Hmmm... The only problem is I'd want a Vette spec'd similar to the one in the video which stickered at close to $70k.

ATS-V will have the twin-turbo V6 already seen in the V-sport. I assume it will be tuned for more power - closer to 450hp.

I'm sure we'll be hearing about the alpha SS by this time next year. All of Australia will be clamoring for info on the Commodore replacement.

I'm sure we can expect similar gains to what's been seen in the GXP. Anyone with knowledge on that can chime in.

Saw a black coupe in Milford today with M plate and on a cloudy day the thing simply looked sinister....

Was making the turn at GM road and Hickory Ridge last week and the bright blue 2014 Vette came shooting out of the grounds. It was sunny, the car was clean, it was moving just fast enough I couldn't fire the iPhone for a pic.... really dig seeing interesting cars running around Milford. Have seen a few of the ATS VSport coupes running around too.... they are heavy prototypes though with many early parts on them... been in meetings all day but ran to the Milford Post office and picked up a salad a very short 2 miles from the proving grounds. Many engineers frequent that particular shopping/restaurant area so always seeing something fun there. Today was the pair of 2014 SS Camaro's and on the other side of the parking lot was the 2014 Vette in black.... just another day in Milford...
