Ultimate Auto put a few upgrades into the Chevy SS. It received a set of 22 inch Vellano rims, blacked out taillights, tinted windows and a body-colored rear diffuser. Moving to the inside of the vehicle not much is different aside from the new JL audio system. The company says that "the bass is ridiculous".

Take a look and let us know what you think. Inspiration for your own mods perhaps?

Maybe it is just the wheels.
I love the tail lights though.
And did they paint the rear lower plastic to be body color? That looks real nice!

Edit: I guess I missed it on my first read-through: "a body-colored rear diffuser"

I bet it looks better in person.

That being said WHEELS make the car. With a LS3 under the hood I would have gone with a different wheels.

I like it, excluding the wheels. Does anyone know if the headlights (interior trim) was tinted/blacked out?

.......Factory Wheels .............

Do you still have the factory wheels.... I am Importing a 2011 Commodore Calais V wagon over and they are the same wheels if you interested in selling them... The original wheels were sold off my wagon before I purchased it... along with a few other items that will need to be replaced.. before it gets the left hand drive conversion.. with the help of a G8 doner car.

Sorry to ghetto for me also. I try to drive 'almost' like I stole it and need to be seen. Tinting rear tails looks good but people behind you can see you brake for crap in the daylight. You'll soon learn I am somewhat opinionated. I also can't stand red colored turn indicators (only in the US), can't stand malaligned headlights (nor HID in non HID housings), and cut me off without a turn signal and I just ruined your day. Sorry.../rant.

We used to emulate race cars for design inspiration but 20 somethings today just aren't as interested and have grown up favoring gangstas.

All of that on a Malibu and that would be about right. How/why that design style became popular is beyond me.

Good: Stereo set up seems cool always liked that stuff though i think i need to layoff before i go deaf! also I like the framing in the photos.

Bad: Wheels... sorry ill have to pass too. too Chrysler 300ish and wheel is too big. Photos whomever took them... It be you or someone else lay off the HDR settings please.

Questionable: I like dark lights but I like how the SS lights already look dark stock with the black outline so that is still questionable to me. Painted lower diffuser still on the fence about that one. But props for doing it.
