Thanks for bringing this Commodore here.

The people that will appreciate this the most need to just think back about 8-9 yrs back when Oz had all the cool RWD V8's and we were left to drool with mostly just FWD offerings.

This still holds true to this very day. Picture for a moment a world where no SS is coming, no Holden slated to reach the US and check out Chevy's website. We get the Malibu, Cruze and Impala. Sure it's a much better selection than back then but the target market is left to sit back and envy the offerings across the pond. (Not just Oz but check out Vauxhall ) They get a 400+ HP RWD sedan and we don't. I think about this and realize how awesome it is that there is something coming, we're not being ignored anymore.

I agree. Apart from the Camaro (not a huge fan of the design) and Corvette (too ballin) there aren't many cars that attract me towards Chevrolet at current day. The SS will change that.

GM isn't giving longtime Chevy loyalists a reward...it's trying to recoup a fraction of the one billion (with a "B") dollars it spent developing the Commodore VE with the intention of having the new plant crank out boatloads of G8's for the past seven years. It's a great looking fully loaded 415hp RWD sport sedan with a gorgeous interior. Just plan on dropping $45,000. It'll only sting for a few weeks and then you'll settle in and enjoy the living crap out of that thing. Or at least I will.
