Yesterday when I was logging my SS with HP Tuners I noticed the throttle position was at 18% at idle. ive tuned quite a few cars and I have never seen the throttle position this high. Just want to clarify if this is normal for our cars.

Yes normal for every GM car since about 2005.
The 90mm LS throttle body has 2x TP sensors and the PCM averages out the readings to calculate the true percentage.
Dumb hand held machines only latch onto one of the TP sensor raw outputs and display the 18% figure very commonly.
Go onto any GM Forum and you'll see lots of nonsense and people with their panties in tatters all about nothing.

And a pint of Foster's, to which you must promptly refuse or risk being banned from every pub in Vic, Queensland and NSW.
