SOLD! SOLD! SOLD!

Stock Potenza tires that came with the SS. Will have about 200 Miles on them when I switch tires next week. Summer only tires just do not make it here in northern Ohio.

This your chance to get your baby's second set of rubbers really cheap.

Tire Rack has them for $1260 (after rebate) plus shipping.

$700 plus shipping.

I am a cash buyer at $400 with shipping not to exceed $100. Will PayPal or overnight a check on Monday. Allen 941-284-6597
I gotta an idea...

How about no, not only no, but F*** no!

How about you go find someone else to bother with a stupid lowball offer. $700 is more than fair. If you can't afford them go bother someone else. Also everyone is a "cash buyer".

P.S. If you are unhappy about me slamming your insulting lowball offer in public then maybe you should have PM'd me. I still would have said no, but it would not have been public. (Just like the commercial)

General G Max

I have General G-Max tires on order....
I put General G Max on my Camaro after the original tires wore out, they were OK in the snow and handling was not noticeably different than the original summer only tires. What I didn't like was they got very noisy after about 10K miles.

In Southeastern PA, some winters you can get by with summer tires, other winters like this one....it is like driving on eggshells. I am still trying to decide what I like...leaning toward the Continental Extreme Contact DWS when the Bridgestones wear out. :whatdoyouthink:

The original Bridgestones price out on Tirerack at $1388, before tax, shipping and mounting. Anyone who truly wants a second set should be willing to pay something closer to retail! :2cents:

I bought G-Maxs for the G8 after checking them on a Camaro forum! I found that they handled well and were very good in the rain. I didn't get a chance to run them in the snow. Also I only had about 5000 miles on them when we traded the G8 in on the SS so I can only hope mine don't get noisey.

No, I am pretty sure I don't. That really rubbed me the wrong way! He was going to do me a favor!

In case anyone is wondering the OEM tires are still available!

They are sitting in my garage in plastic bags with just over 300 miles on them.

If I don't get any takers I guess I will put them back on the car about mid April. We only put about 10K a year on the car so between the 2 sets of tires I can probbably make it 5 plus years....

think about the Michelin pilot sport as3
i got these and have to say they're not very good in the snow compared to other all season tires. As long as you're only dealing with plowed roads they're fine, but get a couple inches and they really struggle. This seems to be confirmed by Tire Rack's test results and survey data. But they're much better in the cold than the OEM Bridgestones and have gotten me through this snowy NY winter so far. In hindsight, I think I'd go with Conti DWS if I was gonna go all-season, or get a dedicated set of performance winter tires. At least these should offer me near summer tire performance in the other 3 seasons.

Find some extra wheels and swap them out when you need.

What shipping company were you looking to use and have you looked into shipping costs. If I know the shipper I will look up cost at my end.
I have no idea, I have never shipped tires. If you want make all arrangements I am willing to do a reasonable amount to get them shipped. Such as tie fronts and rears into two bundles with clothes line, the G-Max tires were bundled into 2 bundles with plastic wrap from Tire Rack.
