I have one of these on the way from CP as well. As a matter of interest, where are you going to put it? Where the current SS badge is on the right side of the trunk or on the left side, as they do on the Commodore SSV Redline? It seems our Australian counterparts put their "SS" badging on the left side. They don't do right side as we do. If you are going all out Holden, then no need to answer as I guess you will go with left side.

I put the old Holden V Series badge on two of my G8's; one on the right and one on the left. I personally think it looks better on the right. I suspect I will put some double sided tape on it and stare at it for a while. My first inclination is to put it on the left but I can be persuaded easily since I think the badge makes the statement over the placement.

I think with the pronounced V it looks better on the left. I need to see it on silver and on my car and have a beverage to fully decide. looks awesome on red!

SSV Badge

The Australians have the badge on the left because they drive on the left, Chevy positions the SS on the right because that is the side of the road we drive on. True fact!!:signlol:

only the later model VE had the SS mounted on the left side, the first series had a seperate SS & V badge, looks just like a caddi badge but red.
SS was on the right
V was on the left (SSV models only)
when the two were combined into one badge they moved it to the left, the right side was used for AFM (auto) or E85 (manual)
the AFM & E85 badge was dropped for VF
