SS wheel cost

I recall a discussion over the past week about the $500 cost of the full-size spare (19 x 8.5), and someone commented that the wheel & tire combined probably would cost nearly $1000...or more, if purchased separately.

Can't find the thread, but I did ask local dealer what the wheel costs....FWIW, the 8.5" wheel is $995 LIST and $547 DEALER COST, plus a core fee, most likely $50.

Sorry, did not note the PN or check on rear wheel cost--as much or even more, most likely.

Wow they finally got a price in the system!

I took a chance and ordered mine with the spare before I knew it was a real front wheel with the factory tire and the TPMS installed! The bargain of the century at $500.

Wow that's pricey. I thought 600 bucks for 20's was exxy, I stand corrected. You could probably get them cheaper from Aus owners and import them? don't yours come with TPMS though?
I'm pretty sure the wheels are actually made in USA.
Yep, the rims are a product of the US of A :)

Given the OEM tier 1 and 2 supplier contracts; they probably are prohibited from selling them 'aftermarket' .....

SS wheel PN's - update

Front wheel & spare: 92457030

Rear wheel: 92290395

F & R are same price, $995 List & $597 Dealer Cost (posted in error earlier). $50 core charge if a wheel is not turned in at purchase.
For clarification, the Part Numbers (PN) are typically not the same as the casting numbers (C/N as posted below) for cast or molded metal/machined or even some plastic parts. The C/N won't get you very far at the dealer parts counter.

Often, historically, C/N and PN would be one digit apart, more often with older 6 or 7 digit PN's--can't assume anything by that now. Case in point - SS front wheel PN & C/N. Also of interest that front offset is +48mm!

Front wheel & spare: PN 92457030

And since this wheel is used in some Holden applications, is it correct to assume that Alcoa is exporting them from US to Oz?

Heck GM has to get the profit $$ up. Why not do it by gouging the customers! Toyota's making them look like losers at making money!

BTW build a K2XX Chevrolet or GMC but be prepared to dial 911...
