All...I'm trying to find out based on my VIN which number off the factory line it would be...(I owned a 96' Corvette Grandsport Coupe and last 4 numbers were always the number off the line)...Any help would be great...thanks!

I don't believe the numbers are sequential coming off the line. The only ones I'm aware of are, Vettes, ZL1, and soon to be Z/28. These all have their own VIN's ... My ZL1 is number 670

What is the last 6 of your VIN?
I don't have the full list done yet, if it was built early I could give a good guess

I will try to help, I went thru trying to see what number of SS I was but all the vin #'s are mixed with AU. That is if 1000 cars were built an SS could be anywhere in the sequence from 01 to 1000 if five were built you have no way of knowing if you were #1 or #5. You would need the vin of every SS produced to get some idea where you are in the mix.
If they were building 50 a day mine came of the line Aug 30th so I could be some where around 500 or so built. I don't think they started with 50 a day just my guess. Most assy lines ramp up slow so with new product coming down the line it would be slow to get to that 50 a day figure.
The first half of the vin is US specific but the last 6 that numbers the cars place in production falls in with the AU sequence #'s.

How would we go about doing this? I'm curious as heck which # mine is as well.

I got your message pop_ss and I sent a reply requesting more information.

Hi Black3Car! Unfortunately we don't currently have a way to see what # your SS is in production . If you have any other questions just click on our username on the left and select 'Send a Private Message' and we will respond to your question!

My car reads 8/13/2013 on it my paper work reads 08/16/2013 vin 924933. Here is a vin off car produced 12/16/2013 953996. That would mean 29,063 units produced not all are Chevy SS's no way to know how many from vin #'s.
