SS from Newark is finally in rail yard at Lawrenceville Ga 3:48 am now for ride to dealer by truck 30 minutes away. From March 1st to 17th and still not at dealer been 37 days since ship was in Ca. Feb 8th. My car took 28 days to get here form Ca last year so this was no time saver.

I'm thinking that underneath all this it's simply a financial decision and nothing to do with customer service or speed of delivery. Winds up being bad for the "end guys -- us" as usual. Gotta love corporate America and how it's always doing things in the best interest of the customer. Sorta like our government - heh-heh.

I've been picking away at this and have had zero success finding an answer... rather odd I might say! Either way in a month or so all of us in "wait mode" shall be satisfied....

Finally got the call going to go down with friend to get the SS. I had called and said if not coming today we wanted to go and pick the car up at rail yard.
So will be there at 1230 to help with the car make sure spacer are removed and rear rotors are ordered for rust.
Oh and to make sure the pedals are not rubber.

dz28 -- got a "Nothing new" response to my order status inquiry this morning. :(
Have you heard any thing recently like a VIN or ship name?

Zero from the dealer and I went and visited him in person next week. That said it is officially spring and it's been snowing on and off today in Michigan. I'm still not in that big of rush and he knows it.

I'll ping his order guy today to see if he can find the courage and energy to contact the regional GM rep to find out where the car is. Would like a VIN so I can forward to my insurance guy to get that process started. Not expecting any issues but you just never know....

Some of the other posters indicated that they had a VIN by the time the cars arrived in Japan. Those of us in the last shipment don't seem to be as lucky. Guess now that the 2014 MY run is finished, corporate Chevy is moving on to things other than customer service and satisfaction for such a small market car. Disappointed!
