Thought I would start a thread on this purely because I have not seen one yet. I have seen quite a few G8's but the lack of SS's makes me wonder if anyone else has seen one on the road. So please post here is you have seen another - where and what color....

Other than mine, I saw my first SS today at a do it your self car wash in Puyallup Wa. It was PBM with black wheels and tinted windows. At the time I was letting my mom drive the car, I was in the front passenger seat when I saw it. Gave him the peace sign, it took him a second to see we were in an SS to. Judging from the look on his face, I was the first SS he had seen to.

I have yet to see one on the road. But, there may only be as many as 5 in the NOLA area, so, chances are slim right now.

I have not seen one, I know ChevySS (member) lives around be but have not ran across him yet. I also don't know how many other SS's sold in Las Vegas. From my first count we were getting about 15-20 total cars.

Spotted a PBM SS at cars and coffee in Cary couple Saturdays ago. Parked right behind me ;-)

I still have not seen another one on the road. It has been over 3 months and seeing as Houston is a bit of a hot-bed for SS sales, I am suprised. But what rubs me even more is that my wife has seen one. Seeing as she is not the least bit interested in cars, I asked her how she knew it was an SS - our son spotted it. I must add that my son is 2 and he loves cars. Every car we walk past, every car we see in a magazine, he asks "Is it fast or slow?". He often determines that a car is fast if it has two exhausts (engine pipes as he calls them) or it has a big 'engine pipe'. So, obviously a car nut. I trust that if he said he saw an SS 'like daddy's car', then he probably did. When I probed a little deeper and asked what color it was, he said "pink". So, there you go. He did see one and it was obviously Red Hot 2. Sorry RH2 owners, he is only 2.

WOW your son is doing what I did at that age according to my father!
To keep me occupied on long rides when I was a kid we played the name the make, model year game ... even at night. It was way easier (or harder depending on your perspective) then because of the because of the yearly changes ... not like today where for instance you can't tell (except for the body side mouldings) the year of a GMT900 suv.
Get him a blood test and see if it comes back 5w-30 or 0w-30 to predict if he's gonna be a Ford or GM kinda guy when he grows!

If you want, you could always see one in your drive way

You know you wanna :D
The spirit is willing, but the wallet is weak! lol

Now, if there were a Ute on offer, I'd FIND a way to afford it!

Seriously, though, I'm waiting to see how the current financial situation pans out in a few months. May have to wind up getting a truck for work, though. We'll see.

Saw one in Alameda, CA. It was at night and waiting to pull out onto the street behind me. I must have recognized the front end because I slowed up to let him catch up. Sure enough it was a SS but I don't know the color. Maybe Mystic Green. I rolled down the window and said NICE SS! he gave me thumbs up. Then waved at the turn when we went opposite directions. Car sounded great. Wonder if he knew my G8
