since i wanted to change door handle to a solid color i was looking at options.

one was to use a solid one with no buttons like these:

these are off a Chevy Sonic which came off another project i was working on.

but after thinking about it i would rather have my passive buttons it is a very nice feature.

so i got with Crazy Paul and also talked with my local dealer connection and both told me to order these part numbers 13577717 and 13577719. however neither Paul or the dealer could tell me if these came in pairs or not. Well i got them today. this is what came:

these DO NOT come in pairs and they are about $110 and $112 list net of course will be what you dealer decides to charge you.

as you can see they are two pieces unlike the G8 or the Sonic ones above. these do however share the same part number with the Volt. now technically all you need is the cover! the problem is they don't sell the cover as one part. you have to buy everything. go figure! do note the cover also looks like something that would break off easy when taking it off. also you will need to take the door handles off before even trying to get these off.

i could not figure out how to get these off the door because they are mounted differently then the G8. these are Torx bitted in and they also have this weird plastic piece surrounding the Torx bolt.

again these are non painted. but if you get the chrome one the chrome is actually another part that attached to the handle cover. and yes they don't sell that separately either. lol!

oh and the rear handles wires run in parallel to the fronts.

either way hopefully some of this info is useful.

UPDATE:

I have some of the solid unpainted covers in stock as of 5/16/16 if anyone is interested you can order them here: http://www.maverickmancarbon.com/co...s/genuine-holden-one-piece-door-handle-covers

OK that's ridiculous and very bad value for money. Send both those "kits" back. The GM listing said you only need 1 front "kit" and one rear "kit" per car.
The GM Parts listing and drawings are very inaccurate. Unfortunately there is no stock available here in Oz of those "kits" otherwise I would have found out and warned you about the lack of content in each of those kits.

There's another avenue, but again no stock on shelves here in Oz or in USA. There's a part number for the long outer handle unpainted,non-chrome, with the small rectangular slot for the passive entry button....you'd need 4x per car.
Then another number for the small thumb piece, non-chrome, unpainted with no keyhole...you'd need 3 per car.
Another number for an unpainted, non-chrome, thumb with a keyhole......one per car.
---When parts are available, this option of 4,3,and1, different parts will be within everyones budget.

Sorry, there was no other way of finding out.

this is the way to go!
Here's a visual of the real parts required.
I'm actively hunting it down, no stock available of the long pieces is the issue.

that's ok i took on for the team! lol!

dealer i went to said there was no such part being sold like that. he usually really takes the time to look it up too. but there has to be. hopefully you find something. even cheaper might be to find the chrome inserts and just have those painted. because according to the diagram i saw those come off. also if you notice the front have a alum tape strip on the inside. i think that is to protect the foam and wiring.

Maybe a dumb question, but is getting the door handle professionally painted an option? I never had a car painted or know anyone who has.
It is. I did it when the VT's driver door handle broke. I bought a GTO door handle in the US, took it to the paint shop to get the color matched with the car and had it installed in another shop.
