You can sit in it, play with the radio, move the seats etc.
Driver seat has lots of leg room. I'm 6'2" and had to put the seat forward to reach the pedals. Lots of head room. So wearing a helmet at the track should be no problem. $46K price quoted with all options-2.

im surprised they let people do that with the SS at a fair.
i would have expected them to let it sit their with the doors locked with all the info on the windows.

hopefully more of these make their way across the country

I'm going to the fair next Tuesday and I'll be taking photos so if no one post any before then I'll hook ya'll up.

Most every model is open to allow you to sit inside the cars (unless they are special, extremely expensive, custom cars, ect......) They want you to sit in them and hope you'll leave and go buy one.

I've been lurking for a while. Plan to get rid of the G8 and upgrade to the new SS. Can't wait!!!!!!

Well I was wrong. The SS that was on display was lock up tighter than a drum. All I could do is look inside from the window. It really looks nice but I was disappointed since I wanted to sit in it and see how it felt. I guess since this is about the only one that is state side and I'm sure it's making the rounds that would explain why they don't allow 1000 people a day to crawl inside of it. I got a photo but it looks like the same car that's been displayed at other venues. So we wait for the cars to arrive.............

Thanks for the pic. I'm ticked that both times I've been to Circuit of the Americas in Austin (the V-8 Supercars in May!) that Chevy did not bring the SS for display. Oh, but there was a Spark at the Lemans race last month (unlocked too!)..... Granted, attendance was poor for Lemans but Supercars had a decent turnout, not to mention the Holdens on the track.

I think I took the exact picture when I was at the FAIR last week. What's funny is that I was looking at the new C7 and completely walked right by the SS. After standing next to the Vette for a few minutes my eyes caught a glimpse of the SS wheels and it clicked. $10 says most people did the same thing thinking it was a new Impala (they were sitting next to each other).

I thought it looked awesome in person. My wife even liked it.

It would be cool if someone took note of the VIN so we can track the SS sedan's at the shows just to see if Chevy Corp is just using one or a handful of them around.

Thanks for posting that picture
