I was there last week, could see it from the level above but the gates were up around all the cars. Not sure why since I arrived at 10:00AM.... but it's not a terrible look from above either!

That is a great picture! I get to see this SS everyday for lunch. Yesterday we also had a ride and drive to get to know the vehicles for which we assist. I was really bummed they did not have an SS available but I did get a chance to get to know this beauty! Also, now you guys can see what I look like. :biggrin:

Erica, can you tell us if it has the rusty rear brakes?

Surface rust on rear brakes is not a problem. Surface rust occurs all the time. Look on a used car lot at the ones up the back. Unless they continually move the cars the ones that have been sitting for two weeks are likely to have it.

I have it on my race bike and my track car, less than half a lap later they are back to their old non rusty self .

I dont mind the rust, just shows that they dont get moved too many times. I would be more concerned about the wheels though and the condition of the rubber.

Guys its not the braking surface that is rusting its coming thru the painted hub and and the painted cooling vanes like the paint was applied over rust or there was pin holes allowing water in to start rusting the paint will come off in the future leaving an ugly mess.

Very poor ferritic nitrocarburizing treatment on the rear rotors. I swapped them out with Centric blank rotors. Rust all over my hands. Yuck.
